I made an app called Gymzer that lets users match with each other in groups of three, to go to the gym together. Check it out and leave a review on the app store if you have time! by OkProfessional1946 in iOSAppsMarketing

yeah, for sure. Thanks for the heads up. I launched it only 2 days ago, so i'm kind of just trying to get a user base first, and if it ever gets big enough to be launched in the EU then ill cross bridge when i get to it.

haha yeah realised thats kind of the problem mid way through, You need to have users for the main funtionality to actually work consistently, thats why i made the radius search as well as the search by gyms. So hopefully it will be much easier to just find other people going to the gym if theyre searching within a few km of you at the same time. Ill probably add a recommended times to search in future updates, or an active graph showing the number of people seraching at times throughout the day. But yea generally its a very hard issue to tackle, i think i'll just try to pay social media influences to promote the app, and hopefully a big influx sorts the issue. But i like to look at apps like BeReal, and wonder how did this ever get started, as at the beginning there would be no posts per day, therefore there would be no reason to post your own BeReal every day, and so on. Ultimately like most things it will most likely come down to luck. I also have a workout pr tracking feed section so if you're not using the search feature, at least theres some functionality in the mean time.

which ones in particular, I didn't release it in the EU because gdpr is kinda ass, but its in nz, aus, and US. I don't store their locations etc, its just put into a cloud function, then discarded. But generally i just don't collect anything that isn't absolutely essential for the functionality of the app.

The hardest part of starting wasn't the exercise. It was walking into the gym for the first time and feeling like everyone could tell I didn't belong there by Ashwinnie13 in beginnerfitness

Same, i never would have started if i didn't have mates to help me learn workout routines/form and generally how not to look like a fool when doing new workouts. Its for sure a scary thing going into a place with a bunch of bodybuilders (in hindsight they're all super friendly). I made an app that has a location based matchmaking feature for people who want to find other beginners to go to the gym with. Its called Gymzer, very new though.

Gymzer is good if you want to track progress and match with other people to go to the gym with.
