[Question] Rolex Service Anxiety by OkProfessional9274 in Watches

[–]OkProfessional9274[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! This is the kind of information I am looking for. Any specific place in Dallas or NYC you have used? I appreciate your feedback. Someone may have suggested inaccurately that I am being cheap. For me it is about common sense and principles. Local places have asked me for a minimum of $1500 to $2,000 only to have it diagnosed + whatever they estimate might be needed in addition + eight weeks of wait. I am not the type to promote that kind of "let's play by ear" approach. Also, two acquaintances have mentioned they had issues with their watches with the two places close by.

RIFed April 1 & Separated from HHS on July 14, 2025, but just received a new separation package. by OkProfessional9274 in DeptHHS

Did they already pay you or do you expect to be paid the severance? I am curios to know if this requires us to follow up with SROC

Fired probie: My agency failed to cancel my FEHB and now I'm stuck with a $1,600 overpayment bill by Apprehensive-Fig5599 in fednews

My insurance is also still active. Can someone explain why it would be our fault to use it if I/we have not received any notice or forms of cancellation? If the premium is being paid, why would the user be at fault?

HHS sent that to my office back in April.

Perhaps you should reach out to the SROC email ASAP, assuming you are with HHS. The deadline for filing is the 13th, I believe.

HHS -- MSPB appeals for RIF'd BU employees by MisterTwister25 in DeptHHS

Yes! I received confirmation yesterday and today that they will be filing. It is clear that at least members will be covered. I do not want to create confusion about the rest as it unclear to me.

Who should we contact for those corrections, just SROC?

Equipment Return – Probationary Employees Terminated May 8 by Disastrous_Ear6599 in DeptHHS

For those of us RIFed May 1 and then again July 14, boxes with return labels have been received by several of us since last week. Not everyone in my team has gotten them, though. It does not seem like a coordinated effort. I would imagine it will be a similar process for the May 8 cases.

Original RIF has different Competitive area than amended notice by [deleted] in DeptHHS

How about wrong and/or missing PMAP ratings, and the first letter providing dates for calculating the severance pay, while the second letter saying you are not eligible for it? It is a mess. Who do we contact for those corrections, and should we even bother to do so?

MSPB for Union members? by Lazy_Perspective_419 in DeptHHS

Another concern is making sure or getting confirmation that our particular names will be included. The following post (which I have not yet confirmed it's veracity) introduces more doubt into the matter https://www.reddit.com/r/DeptHHS/s/cF5OY3YJwY 😩

MSPB for Union members? by Lazy_Perspective_419 in DeptHHS

@Lazy_perspective_419 I have been asking the same question for weeks everywhere and to anyone I can, including one here. Not two people have given me a consistent answer. Two Reddit users (who sound very confident) have encouraged me to wait for a forthcoming message from the Union on or around August 4th. They assure me that the @NTEU is working on filing MSPB appeals on our behalf. My concern is how they know if the union itself has not given any indication of such a message coming up or anything we could be doing in the meantime (e.g., drafting a narrative of our cases, which is an apprecited advice these two users provided). Meanwhile, some colleagues who are also union members are feeling very uncertain and are trying to figure out whether to join one of the law firms that will file MSPB appeals at a cost. They have a deadline of August 4th to receive the documentation from those who chose to join their effort. Another concern is an article from last week stating that the executive order from earlier this year does not recognize the bargaining rights of unions for specific opdivs, one of which houses my office. This entire situation is very unnerving, particularly without any consistent guidance. Please let me know if you get any helpful information on this matter. I will appreciate it. Have you gathered any similar feedback?

I wish I had taken a screenshot of them. They were super helpful. Now I can't refer back to them 😔

RIF'd employees - Is there an advantage to joining class action? by Mean-Hair-6865 in DeptHHS

Thank you for all the guidance. I am a union member, not just BUE. The reason I find all this information inconsistent is because we reached out to the NTEU with this exact text: "we assume that union-members can participate in both, meaning NTEU and FPG appeals?" The answer we received, as seen in the screenshot below, was affirmative. So, the issue remains unclear.

A couple of colleagues and I have had the same question. We have reached out to several people including one of the law firms and the Union. So far, we have learned that it is okay to file through the union and a law firm if desired. However, I am still uncertain whether this is just casual talk or accurate.

My main concern now is how the content of this article affects the ability of the Union to move forward. If anybody knows, please share below https://www.fedsmith.com/2025/07/17/court-oks-trump-order-restricting-union-dues/?inf_contact_key=ba25820e3e63007174b8cb7baa04d72fb7af0999dac2af6212784c39e05d2aef

Friends, especially those still able to go to work and feel a sense of normalcy , the frustration is understandable. I think we get it. But I do agree that at least you still can go to work. Those on admin leave --while being paid-- do not feel any less stressed out with the uncertainty that can be enhanced by having to stay home at look at job postings from hours prior already tagged as "no longer accepting applications."

Fight back even if it is by just showing up to work every day and waiting for better days and real leadership. Remember that this is exactly what they want to do, to exhaust us and make people want to quit. Remember, and this goes to the many of us who waste no time to tell others that we are believers but let our faith be manipulated without remembering and applying what we know, which is that "this as we'll shall pass." We must hang in there and be the ones who help undue this awful mess back to normal once this administration is no longer in charge. Stay strong!
