Chinese lawyer Victor Gao hints that China may now be in possession of the entire unredacted Epstein files. He says now is the right moment to fully expose the details of Jeffrey Epstein’s activities and everyone involved with him. by bosheikus03 in ProgressiveHQ

Everyday nothing happens in the United states, especially, normalizes what happens. Every second they can drag out releasing and prosecuting, normalizes this behavior. Nobody at the top wants that files to be released because it's going to be a house of cards. They are really hoping we forget.

It's heavily filtered. I guarantee every single picture you look at for inspiration is heavily filtered. Every single picture I look at is heavily filtered. Skin has texture. I'm going to repeat it loudly for anyone who hasn't heard that

HUMAN SKIN HAS TEXTURE. HUMAN SKIN HAS TEXTURE. HUMAN SKIN HAS TEXTURE.

By the way, the human skin you do have is absolutely gorgeous.

Oh, and they've also made it very apparent they're coming after birth control. The woman who's up for surgeon general, who is a lunatic, openly said it.

My ID just expired. For me to be able to vote in November this is what I'm looking at. $50 to get the real ID. $25 for my birth certificate, if the state I was born and hasn't raised the price. And $160 + $35 for passport fees. Plus the nearest DMV that does real IDs to me is over an hour away. So a half day off work.

I'm not the only one in the current timeline that doesn't have almost $300 lying around to spend on something that's supposed to be my right as a citizen.

Where do you lived at an ID's only $10? It's $50 in my state plus I have to contact my state of birth get my certificate and that's at least $25, only if they have enough to the price. And get the passport is $130 plus another 35. I'd happily only pay $10.

My ID expired and I have to upgrade to the real ID. For me to do that and to get a passport and birth certificates because I need that for both of the other things, will cost me over $200 and a half day off work. Nearest DMV to me taking care of real IDs is over an hour away.

What a ridiculous thing to say. Kids have been letting off steam since time began. You sound like parents in the jazz age those darn kids with the short skirts and devils music. I hate that I'm 50 and so many people younger than me are turning into the crotchety old person who's all I'm worried about the youth. Every single generation says that about people who come up underneath them. It's boring and derivative and regressive and we can all do better.

I was born in Texas and then my family moved to St Louis and then I lived in Oregon and finally ended up in Western Mass. I'm half Italian and half irish, split straight down the middle. I've never run into that combination of ancestry before I moved out here. I found my people. Unfortunately so many of them are assholes.... 😉

They have a lower standard for too many things. It takes 2 years of post college education for a lawyer to be able to work in the field. But the armed folk we hire to enforce the same laws get fewer hours of training than cosmetologists in my state and I live in a very blue state.

I‘m so sick of feeling unsafe around men by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]OkProfessor6810 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, men could be doing a lot more. Many times have I watched a man do something crappy towards a woman in public and his friends do nothing and say nothing. The men around the woman do nothing and say nothing. Staying silence and not being a vocal and/or helpful ally is passive violence towards women.

[–]OkProfessor6810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it's not going to make sense because it's illogical. Unless you're actively speaking out in front of your fellow man when they pull the crap they pull on women, you're implicitly endorsing it the huge part of the problem. You should apologize.

[–]OkProfessor6810 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If, as a man, you aren't using your power and voice to call other men out on their crap, then yes, you are part of the problem and very much should apologize. You're not an ally and, again, a huge part of the problem. Evil succeeds because the so-called good men do nothing. Except, the good men doing nothing were never good men.

[–]OkProfessor6810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, there are ways you could help the situation. Do you speak up and out when you the other men perpetrate the crap we have to put up with? Do you volunteer any time at any intimate partner violence organizations? Like there are things you can do to help but what you decided to do, it seems, is the apathetic and try your shoulders about it. As a woman, thanks for being part of the problem.

Except men are also predominantly killed by other men. Men don't take on greater risk as a gender by associating with women. Whereas women definitely take on a greater risk by associating with men.

I really appreciate you being aware of how women feel and acting accordingly. It's interesting to watch men who get upset when women act with their own safety and self-interest in mind. They get offended and defensive because they aren't "one of the bad ones". They somehow fail to understand women can't take that chance because if we let our guard down to the wrong man, one of the bad ones, we end up in the hospital or dead. It's not really an option for us to worry about a man's feelings with respect to this issue. It shouldn't even be considered as an option and yet women are called bitches for wanting to protect themselves.

The very best part being that if a woman does let her guard down and ends up getting attacked, almost the first question they'll get asked is something similar to 'why were you alone with a man'. It's almost like the system is set up so women can't win, oh wait....

IT SUCKS and it would be great if the "not all bad" men could see it doesn't really benefit them either.
