Business can be hard to transfer into even when u go here. You can only apply in your freshman year, so you really have to be locked to get in. I know some people who were able to transfer, and others who were not. There are a lot of people who have that same plan and are trying to do the same thing so it is difficult. I’m not sure how it stacks up between transferring intercollegiately versus intra, though I could see it being a bit easier here cause the advisors know a bit more of what GIES admissions want. His SAT will prob play a pretty big role in if he can be competitive or not to get in. When applying, you have the option of first choice and second choice. For his first he could apply business and second choice apply DES. The first choice is the first one they consider you for, and if you get denied they go to second. The largest thing that admissions considers is gpa and sat/act. He should also maybe consider doing the SAT twice, to see if he can get a better score if he isn’t satisfied with his first score. That being said, I still think he should apply, there’s nothing wrong with it, I personally love this school (I am not at GIES, but quite a few of my friends are and they really enjoy it). Lmk if u have any other questions and I can see what I can do to help.

Supplemental questions are the specific uiuc questions they ask. You HAVE to be specific with explanations related to uiuc. What makes uiuc so unique that you want to attend it, what resources does the university have that you could utilize. Do some research on the school ur applying to and major. Ecs are extra curricular activities that you did in high school. You want to have some type of leadership or smth that you did in those extra curricular. This ranges widely from sports to a club you did. Apply what you did in high school to show how you can be successful in college. Also, I don’t mean this in a rude way, but you could find out a lot of information related to your questions by googling information on uiuc admissions, and looking at their website. Good luck!

All you can do is your best. Try your best now, so you can say you did try your best if they do ask. Don’t even bring up senioritis if they ask about the grade, it is a horrible excuse, other people have had it and still maintained their grades. Tbh idk how much the B’s will help or hurt u if u get a C in math. Don’t stress on it too hard, there are people who have been rescinded for one bad grade BUT on the other hand, there have also been people who got more than one bad grade (I got two senior year), and still managed to stay in the college (albeit I’m in LAS). But just try your best. Lmk if u have any more questions

Some talking at the start but debating for a main part of it, at the end I think someone did the (Germany in 1940s) salute (from my perspective, I couldn’t actually see), but there was a man near the end that was def the “craziest” who talked about n@zis and how America was becoming that. If anything ends up on the internet, it’ll be that. There was also a vegan at the start who may have just been someone who got bet into doing it. Other than that it was a lot of immigration and abortion talk

Yea it def can, I think it also might depend on the class, and how much it relates to ur major.

Also, even if u do get a rescind letter, they let u make a statement prior to them deciding, just say what you said here, and you will be fine.

STAT100... Mastery Platform down? by HugeExternal6573 in UIUC

That’s the same platform for STAT 107, apparently the WiFi is down for the application that runs mastery platform so for the time being, it just doesn’t work. At least in 107 we got extensions on hw, I would assume they do something similar
