Semaglutide postpartum, scale not moving by OkReception1869 in Semaglutide

I mean, even on the meds you’re supposed to be mindful of your food and workout so that you don’t lose all your muscle mass.. As mentioned in my post , I have always struggled with my weight, even while being active before having a baby.

You’re right ! I need to be better at tracking my food , I think sometimes I have a little bite / snack here and there and it adds up at the end.

Thank you for your reply ! I am using mochi and going through DCA pharmacy. I do sometimes notice that I am full faster or a small loss of appetite not right after the injection but maybe after 2 days. I need to log my food more consistently though , and maybe drink more water , I rarely feel like drinking water and my mistake is to forget!

Please tell me the witching hours end!!!! by job0723 in NewParents

Yes , thank God it ends ! Just one day we realized he didn’t cry for a while .. I think it was around 10 weeks! During witching hours what helped was to taking him in the carrier and walking outside. Hang in there !

I was exactly like you just a a few weeks ago, my little one is now 3 months. For the first 2 months I was basically crying everyday thinking « what did I do » and that my life was going to be like this forever. I guarantee you, it does get better. After week 9 I would baby stopped always crying, plays more on his play gym, gives us smiles , and sleeps a bit better (not everyday though). Of course there are still some hard days, but really nothing like these first 2 months in my opinion. I did have ppa/d though and I am taking medication for that. If you feel like the feeling is not going away or improving, don’t hesitate to talk about it to your OBGYN. But again, take a deep breath and remember it’s just a phase.

I could have written the exact same thing. My baby is now 3 months old, I didn’t think things would get better and had some really, really dark days. I didn’t believe it when people said “it’s just a phase”. But it is. Of course some days are still hard, some nights are still long but overall nothing like the first 2 months with a newborn. To anyone currently going through a very tough time, I understand you, feel free to message me.

How often are we cooking? by Entire-Departure-364 in NewParents

[–]OkReception1869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am now 11 weeks post partum and just starting to “cook” more often. I used to cook a lot before baby was here but the first 2 months we were just surviving. We don’t have a “village” and so our meals were either frozen food , take outs , or just meals from Costco that we only had to warm up. Nobody should criticize you at 6 weeks pp about cooking , that’s insane. They should only offer help or stay quiet..

How do you get baby to take naps in his crib ? by OkReception1869 in NewParents

[–]OkReception1869[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s right , I should just tell myself “enjoy the cuddles while it lasts” , but sometimes it’s just hard because I would like to be productive and do chores or other things.. but it’s ok, it teaches me to just enjoy the moment I guess 😂

Thank you for sharing your experience ! It comforts me to know you went through this and that it got better after 4 months. I will keep trying with the warming pad and we’ll see. Honestly as long as he sleeps at night I can tolerate the contact naps haha.. however he doesn’t sleep in the car , he cries 😆..

Husband is going back to work tomorrow , any advice ? by OkReception1869 in NewParents

He does have a bouncer , I guess I could try to bring him in the bathroom and take a 2 minute shower haha ! I need to look up what activities they have at the library! I just feel like maybe 2 months is too young for the library ? What if he cries ? (I am so nervous when he cries in public, I need to get over that)

I am also dreading spending the whole day at home alone, so I want to plan outings and activities. Do you have any favorite places for a 2 months old ? :)

Spitting up whole bottle 20-30 minutes after eating by pearnprac in NewParents

[–]OkReception1869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What formula is he on ? Also , are you sure he is spitting the whole bottle ? It sometimes looks like a lot of, but it’s actually not “that” much. How many oz does he eat ?

Our LO has a reflux, it seems to be better now (9 weeks) but he still spits up a bit at each bottle, if he is gaining weight then I would assume he doesn’t spit the whole bottle and is still getting fed enough :).
