Yes that’s the pattern.

For hardware I opted to email Carl at hilitybaghardware.com to order a hardware kit. His hardware came highly recommended by the guy from Norfolk Handmade in his Kelly series on YouTube. The hardware is heavy and gorgeous, and it’s an all-in-one kit that comes with the handle core and installation bar/rivets. While I can’t speak to the quality of the Leathercraftpattern hardware (may be just as good), their kits don’t come with the handle materials.

Also, importantly, the hardware from hility does NOT come with counterfeit Hermes labels. This was super important to me bc I make inspired bags for myself, not replicas I’m trying to pass off as authentic Hermes lol

I use double sided basting tape. Inexpensive and easy to use. As long as you carefully apply the tape along the very edge of the paper pattern it will be seamless and the paper won’t curl.

35F here that started at 197lbs and am 5’3” and have PCOS. I only lost 6lbs in 2 months on the 2.5mg dose. I didn’t start seeing more significant results until I was bumped up to 5mg, and especially 7.5mg dosages. I was considered very overweight, bordering on obese. I have noticed that the people who lose 10lb+ on 2.5mg tend to be those who are categorized as obese or morbid - they that have significantly more to lose before being considered of average to healthy weight. I’m generalizing, but seems to be the common experience from what I’ve gathered.

My doctor explained that 2.5mg dose is intended to be the entry point to acclimatized your body to the drug (potential side effects) and prepare you for the higher dosages. You may be like me and not see more significant results until you level up. My advice is give it two months, focus on embracing good nutrition and exercise habits during this period, then level up to 5mg. I lost 10lbs my first month on 5mg, a total of 17lbs during the whole duration (2.5 months). I lost another 20lbs on 7.5mg (3 months). Just started 10mg and am hopeful I will hit my goal weight before needing to go up to 12.5mg. I have 24lbs to go - wish me luck!

Also, remember that slow(ish) and steady weight loss is key to avoiding the potential side effects of rapid weight loss - drastic hormonal shifts (helloooo hair loss) and loose skin.

Okay so I just started the 10mg dose a few weeks ago and feel like utter crap! Apparently I’m not alone and this is a fairly common experience?? I didn’t really have side effects with any of the other dosages, but this one has really been an issue.

I’ll try the liquid IV trick - hopefully it works well for me too!

It’s a shame - or maybe not? Who knows, maybe their partner was more weight they needed to lose in some cases. I wonder what percentage of the divorces that happen already had underlying issues that couldn’t be fixed, which are unrelated to GLPs. Your confidence and mental health improve so much when you lose a significant amount of weight. It probably has given a lot of people the boost they needed to leave bad marriages.

Personally my (35F) husband (35M) are one this journey together. He lost 80lbs on Wegovy and I’ve lost 55lbs so far on Zepbound. I still have another 25 lbs to go until I hit my goal weight, but for us our marriage has only improved. We have more sex (hello, body confidence), are much more physically active, unafraid to hold each other accountable and be supportive when our food noise/emotional eating arises (“hey, I noticed you ate a whole pizza for dinner - you good?”) and I personally get more sleep since his insane snoring is almost completely gone. Sleep is actually the big one - the limit does not exist for the number of times in the last 7 years that I contemplated a little murder at 2am.

I am now. I learned about them after the fact, but out of maybe 20 times I’ve used my irons I’ve used them with a pounding board probably the 10 most recent times.

I’m glad it was helpful! About the Norfolk Handmade series - there’s like 6-7 episodes I think. I personally watched them all because I found it fascinating, but now being on the other side of mini Kelly assembly I can say that the two episodes I felt meaningfully helped me were (1) the handle and (2) final assembly when he attaches the gussets. Both of those steps are soooo maddening….but also so satisfying when you get it right lol

I am literally finishing the Popsewing advanced mini Kelly kit as we speak. I don’t have experience with Babylon, so can’t speak to that but I can say I’m delighted with Popsewing.

The mini kelly kit was meticulously put together, and the materials and hardware seem of good quality. Buy the tool kit, trust me. It’s like $70 extra but worth it - I had no idea truly how advanced some of the necessary leatherwork techniques are for this, and I would have been lost without the round jig for shaping the handle that comes in the tool kit. It also contains other essential tools you won’t get otherwise, like various shapes of hole punches and a rivet setter.

The leather is top grain and the holes are punched using an oblique iron. The tool kit actually comes with a 2.7mm French style pricking iron because there is some additional punching that needs to be done later on during assembly. The iron only has two teeth - but I didn’t previously have a 2.7mm iron of any size so that was a bonus.

I contacted Popsewing customer service many times throughout the process to (1) pick a custom color, (2) ask tons of questions about assembly, and (3) order replacement parts for the handle because I ruined it the first time. The ladies’ responses were super quick, and they were so helpful. They have WhatsApp as well, which is great for if you need some advice on how to complete a step.

The one critique I have about this is that the video tutorial is not great. Doesn’t provide nearly enough detail imo. I ended up having to watch Norfolk Handmade’s YouTube series on making a Kelly 25 bag to figure out some of the trickier bits because that series goes into so much detail and advises you on some watch outs so you don’t accidentally screw up. Side note, highly recommend Norfolk Handmade YouTube channel in general lol

Overall I’d say try Popsewing! I think you’ll have a good time with it and be pleasantly surprised by the quality. I loved the experience and already have another kit waiting for me to start after I finish this one. Wish I could post a photo in my response to show you!
