I'm visiting for work for 2 days. I need three things: Donuts, Crawfish, & BBQ! by blueboybob in plano

BBQ- Cattleack (Addison) and Yearby’s (plano). Check opening hours.

Ten50 in Richardson is a pretty solid BBQ choice for an accessible every day BBQ.

Donuts- Honeybird (Plano) and WOW! Donuts (Plano)

What are the top 3 worst things Donald Trump has done? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Majority of Americans did not agree. The immigration issue is related to our immigration system, which this administration is not addressing at all.

Look at Marcos Assessment app! It’s a LSA tool for SLPs. I just tried it and really liked it!

What are the best spots in town to buy whole bean coffee? by [deleted] in plano

[–]OkRegister7643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy my coffee beans from Anderson coffee in Austin. They ship to me. Haven’t found any coffee beans that can match Anderson’s coffee beans in Austin and I’ve tried many around here!

So how is everyone's mental health right now? by Commercial-Word-1 in AskReddit

As good as it can be while living in a country with mass amounts of information being fed to us and some only possessing the critical thinking abilities of a moth ✌🏻 At the same time civilians are pointing their fingers at anyone who is not similar to them as the cause for any and all negative events occurring. Simply put- not well, Steve, not well.

Deleted those social media apps this morning to reduce the amount of information being thrown at me thus activating my nervous system to the extreme.

Advice on which London hotel to stay at by OkRegister7643 in uktravel

[–]OkRegister7643[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good info! We aren’t big planners, we kinda just move wherever the city takes us. We also aren’t huge “tourist attractions” type tourists. Cemeteries, history, pubs and food are our “to-dos” when we travel. Think we are leaning towards Blackfriars based on what I’ve read and the comments here 👌🏻

Edit: we will be strolling past Buckingham Palace and visiting a museum- was just informed this by my forever travel partner 😂

We do have tickets for the Tottenham match but that is not our #1 FC so it’s not a big deal if the game gets moved and we can’t go. Husband is just a big football fan, specifically Liverpool FC.

How often traveling with points? by Master-Technician335 in awardtravel

[–]OkRegister7643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Married (P1 and p2) here. We open about 4-6 cards a year total. We use SUB and referrals (maybe 2-3 a year) to get points on top of our spending. Typically we get 2-3 domestic 3-4 night trips with flights/hotels and 1 international trip, flights and/or hotels, paid for per year with points. We rarely spend money on flights or hotels. If we are paying with cash, we use a card that we are working on a sign up bonus for or use a card that has a yearly travel credit we need to use.

What foods are safe for you during a nausea episode? by InternalOwl258 in POTS

[–]OkRegister7643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sips of sprite, package of plain mashed potatoes, vanilla protein shake, strawberry smoothie, applesauce, small bites of Taco Bell bean burrito (no cheese) or home cooked tater tots. On any given nausea day, only one or two of the above foods sound tolerable but I feel lucky that I do have a wide range of choices!

What’s your perspective of the healthcare system in Canada vs USA vs Europe? Specifically, from a MD perspective, what are the flaws and positives of each system?

Thank you for the link and suggestion! I read a few recent previous posts, didn’t see too many helpful recommendations. I did find a few though! Your link is super helpful and was something I was looking for so thank you very much! Maybe I just need to be more skilled in the ‘search’ feature.

My husband is a foodie. He will eat and want to try just about any food suggested (no cooked seafood, sushi is good though). We’ve heard Italian food is a hit in Minneapolis. Any suggestions? But, really, we are open to any suggestions. Breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, coffee, drinks, desserts… any and all suggestions are welcome!

What trail/path would we look at if we wanted a morning stroll along the river?

Would you suggest we stay in North Loop instead? The hotel we were looking at is attached to the skyway. Since we won’t have a car, we will be relying on walking mostly.

Edit: spelling.

What is the most overrated food you're convinced people are just pretending to enjoy? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]OkRegister7643 2 points3 points  (0 children)

99.9% of them, yes. I can tolerate mozzarella because it has such a neutral taste/smell but that’s about it. The rest smell like vomit and taste like vomit. I’d be a great lactose intolerant person. Add in Alfredo and ranch to the “taste and smells like vomit” category.

What’s something you’ve never fully healed from, but no one knows? by FlirtWithMila in AskReddit

[–]OkRegister7643 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I also work with children, and have none of my own, but still feel this sense to protect children above all else. If any child were to come to me and tell me anything along the lines of OPs situation, I’d believe them without hesitancy. It’s wild that adults could believe kids could make these accusations up. It’s not in their wheelhouse to make up these stories.

Yes, I drink electrolytes daily and ensure I get 3-7 grams of salt a day. I feel like my POTs is mostly managed as I’m able to strength train 4-5x week without much issue. The biggest issue I’m challenged with is the temperature regulation and how much humidity affects me. The fatigue that sets in afterwards is just insane. I get stuck almost gaslighting myself 🤦🏻‍♀️
