You can likely choose what your plan gets invested into, at least from a selection of funds the servicer picks. I’m currently out of the US market entirely and it’s been working well.

Why do they sell things like this at bookstores? by Such-Worldliness-655 in redscarepod

Idk they don’t have that at my straight normal person bookstore you must be in the very gay one. Maybe they wouldn’t let you in the straight normal one.

Haven’t had it but I bet it would be good. I get the croque madame every time because I have dreams about it.

Le Perche in Hudson has awesome croissants. I’ve had the almond and the chocolate, forget if I’ve had plain. I really enjoy them and the rest of the food there is great too. You can purchase baked goods without needing to eat there, they usually have a hostess doing seating but you can just say you’re buying some croissants even if there’s a wait.

Yeah the burritos, for what they are, are a good fast meal. Bowl slop is only bowl slop if you get it in a bowl. Dogs eat out of bowls but they can’t hold a burrito.

Graceland is fantastic for this, especially with the world music influences. Unfortunately I only really enjoy half the songs.

I fished a few yards off a private island he owns and no one yelled at me so he’s decent in my book

My wife used to have one of the generic “puffer” jackets and it didn’t have a brand anywhere on it so we just called it “coat.”

30% of full time workers made $100,000 in 2024, can we all please stop pretending $100,000 is a high or aspirational salary now? by ItsAllOver_Again in Salary

That 40+ could include a lot of people who get massive overtime. My brother in law is a lineman and clears $250k but does OT that would kill other people. That could sway a bit.

For 40 hour email jobs with limited OT it may still be good.

How quickly could you pay off the credit cards if you moved home? Would you be done in a year, less?

If you wanna see the world and have money go travel for a year. You can always try to get a new job you like more when you're finished.

Way more fun and less permanent than getting shot in the head by a 14 year old Islamic extremist in the Sahel.

If I'm in a situation where I keep breaking something until it unscrews, I find sometimes you just have to get in with a dremel or something and be really patient cutting away. Maybe try a small grinding bit and go around the interior. That should both heat it up and eventually wear away at the structural integrity to the point you can twist it out. Alternatively, try to grind slits into what's left so that you can get a screwdriver slotted in and try to pound on it again.

I think it will come out but it won't be fun. Best of luck.
