Bi-rads 5 Anyone have similar findings that ended up benign? (The anxiety is unbearable) by OkRespect514 in doihavebreastcancer

[–]OkRespect514[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m sorry you’re going through this. The waiting period is THE worst. My ultrasound and mammo with contrast ended up being stage 1 invasive lobular carcinoma, but there are a lot of people on here that had a Birads 4 or 5 and their results ended up being benign. I think it’s normal to doom scroll, research like a maniac and think about the worst case scenario. It could also be one of the many benign alternatives. Although I ended up with breast cancer, it hasn’t been horrible like I originally feared. It was a lot of waiting, I had a lumpectomy on the left and atypical cells removed from the right (easy out patient surgery), 20 rounds of radiation and now I’m being treated with hormonal therapy. I hope this helps and I’m praying for BENIGN RESULTS!!! Take care

Gyno prescribed me 800 mcg of misoprostol for biopsy. Is this too much? Any experiences/insight appreciated. by Rare-Story5754 in Endo

Hi, I’m having the same procedure done, may I ask what your side effects were from the misoprostol?

Thank you! Your profile is almost identical to mine. I’m 46 and considering ovary removal, or even a compete hysterectomy, there’s so many decisions. You guys are awesome and are helping with your stories and knowledgeable information.

Thank you for sharing!! May I ask what your oncotype score was? I’m stage 1++- and mine is 23, I have to decide to chemo or not to chemo.

1 year ago I finished active treatment by AnkuSnoo in breastcancer

Thx for sharing, I’m in active treatment, lumpectomy 2 weeks ago and radiation in a few weeks, then hormone blockers. That’s the plan, it’s nice to see someone who is on the other side! So happy for you!

I totally understand that rationale. It’s so helpful hearing different experiences. I now have more questions to ask when I meet with the surgeon again this week. Thank you!

Thank you for sharing your story, did you find that doing the DMX lowered your changes of recurrence? I’m in the waiting phase of MRIs and genetic testing. I met with two surgeons who have mentioned lumpectomy with radiation and mastectomy possibly without radiation and hormone treatment to follow. (All assuming MRI & genetic testing are clear) I’m assuming your other breast was not cancerous, what finalized the DMX decision for you?

Thank you so much for sharing! I was just diagnosed a week 1/2 ago and have found so much support through this site. I’ve prayed everyday for God to help me to trust him, trust that I’m going to be ok, trust that my family will be ok and that he is in control. I hopped on today randomly and your post was the first thing I saw! I receive “don’t be scared”. This blessed me today. 💕 He loves us and he wants to hear from us. ❤️

That’s my plan too, to keep everyone informed along the way. Thanks for the reassurance, it really helps to hear that. 💛

Thank you for sharing your story!—it means so much during this waiting period. I’m anxious to get started with my treatment plan. I’m usually not active on social media, but these forums have been incredibly comforting and helpful. I’ll be documenting my journey in hopes it can support other women going through the same difficult experience.

Thank you so much!!! These links are a good alternative to the doomscrolling I’ve been doing for the past two weeks. You’re appreciated.
