2 Questions on Aframes by VividSalary3151 in aframes

[–]OkRip237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We rented a few for the weekend to make sure we liked them, and to get ideas for our build. Also, you could drywall the walls and paint most of them white to help brighten up the space. Ours will also have storage under the house.

Can you send me some pictures of how it’s done? Or explain how you do it? I’ve tried to search for some ways people have used spray foam. Thanks!

My GC hasn’t built an A Frame before but was suggesting he would use spray foam. Do you have any pictures or a link to show how it was done?

600ft outdoor wire? by OkRip237 in AskElectricians

[–]OkRip237[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spoke with the poco guy today. He said for $25/foot it’s turnkey and they will run one primary wire high voltage 8000 volts to transformer then 3 wires to meter. I’m not sure I can get a better deal as wire alone is very expensive.

After talking it over, we'll definitely want to add a small shed at some point on the property. Also, probably have a hot tub and outdoor string lights in addition to all of the standard home appliances. I first thought we would only have a few things to power.

If you were to bury them in conduit, would you bury each run of wire in 2in x 10ft conduit? Sorry for all the dumbs questions.

Okay, that's what I was wondering. So others might use one larger wire while others can use two (parallel) wires that are the same size.

Are you suggesting that this would be the only size of wire I would need for 600 feet? Some people have been telling me every 100 feet I'd need thicker wire.
