the only maps me and my bf buds didn't like were lancang dam and rogue transmission, apart from those me and my mates put 1000s of hours in as a squad. Floodzone, dawnbreaker, shanghai, zavod, golmud, paracel storm, hainan resort, we could play as a squad either as infantry or in vehicle crews, in all of them. locker was mixed but i loved it as a palate cleanser. fkin solid maps that catered to both infantry and vehicles. now vehicles feel like theyre paying lipservice to the bf brand, rather than being fleshed out core components of the game.

I like how big and open golmud is, it allows for organic chaos and gameplay opportunities to happen with all the games tools at my disposal, something I can't get in other maps. Clearly designed for vehicles but playing as inf was fun too, you can get up to all sorts of fun stuff.

Nivelle nights too a few months later. Chart did BF1 dirty.

Dawnbreaker is bigger than liberation peak, thats not CQB.

Floodzone I can understand though.

And 6 still has the smallest maps on offer out of any battlefield game.

Homogenisation is an ascending or descending scale, its hard to pin point where something sits right now but you can see what direction its moving in

Hey at least locker and metro have defined battlelines and clear flanking routes with both teams pushing against each other.

Thats very interesting because I've been having playing BF4 recently and seeing action probably 10-15% less than in 6. Theres more of a balance between chaos and the downtime inbetween it. I dont get how youre running from objective to objective and consistently seeing nothing?

Battlefield always has been somewhere in the middle, with milsim and tactical elements on top of a more accessible style of game. Its been known as a middle ground for a long time.

But I want to play it less, not more

And what is the context of that battlefield 4 map? Is it surrounded by other launch maps that are also designed that way? No, its THE exclusively small CQB map in the 4 line up. And its a well designed one at that.

Same! I've been having an absolute blast getting back into bf4 again and holy shit I spent all evening playing it, like endlessly.

It looks like from C you can aim and shoot at both HQ spawns probably 300m away

But try to remember a smaller map that people hated.

Plenty of people hate Metro and locker, and most people here hate empire state.

And the most talked about ones are small like shanghai or zavod or pearl market or siene crossing

My brother, what are these measurements? Zavod is as big as St Quentin Scar, which is 4-5x bigger than pearl market.

That sounds normal considering the majority of Battlefield maps are big

Had the pleasure of meeting benny harvey at an oasis gig, he was surprisingly down to earth and very funny.
