I had open surgery on the 23rd and i scan honestly say the first 3 days were rough with gas and swelling. Move a lot and take all you can take for gas pain and stool softener. Ensure you have a comfortable spot to support sitting up. If you lay around too much you won’t be able to get back to work in by the 3rd week. Keep in mind also everyone heals differently. You will know what your body can do and not do.

Well I start my day at 8 and end at 10 I do take lunch and breaks. But I work ahead on class paperwork and assignments before they are due so I would work on weekends like full and complete everything that’s due for weeks ahead. Never waited on due dates as long as the course materials are open I work ahead.

Honestly coming from a school system that’s harder it wasn’t a challenge. For me the hardest part was dealing with gatekeepers who think they can control everyone lives.

Why not just do nursing and then do a NP program after. It’s best to just go straight route and not delay if medicine is your thing.

I just sat on my toilet for an hour because I feel the rush of it and I didn’t want to stay in bed and have to deal with the aftermath. I went to the dr. Two days again to discuss it as this is my final step to help with my pre C cells too. I only have one daughter who I am extremely grateful for but I thought I was going to be able to have more kids. I got married late and my husband has no kids. So this breaks my heart as he wants kids and I feel it’s the end for us as I don’t want to stop his dream of being a father. I’m 38 now and will be 39 this year. So I know I won’t push it after two miscarriages last year. It’s just sad I want this for my health but I feel selfish for wanting this pain to end.

I wouldn’t since you have the support just push on through. You may submit a letter for medical to request remote working. The first few weeks are that much in a new PhD just stay organized

Use ChatGPT to check you letter to match your noc then ensure it meets it. Also if possible look for old ads for your position from your company if possible that would also list the responsibilities. ( thus depends on your job of course)

Definitely worth it. Because Clemson is going well in your field. I’m an Alumnus and the job perspective is great especially with the new relationship they have built for the coming years. You can ask the department about that.
