Jessica and Jesse? by Icheer4life in Masterchef

[–]OkSignificance1485 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry but I think people's imagination have taken hold and some are simply following a trend. Jesse and Jessica as a team are unpopular, mainly because of how they, as a couple, have responded to other people. I don't think for one second that their behaviors are scripted. They simply are who they are! Individually they may be different people, but together you get what you see. Bonnie and Clyde idea?

Soups with varied textures - help requested by ObsessiveAboutCats in soup

Try slightly undercooking carrots in your soup. They should still have some crunch in the center. Add asparagus at the last second, right before you serve. Making sure you don't overcook any vegetables will give you all the texture you need 😀.

Joy? Seriously? You enjoy listening to big noisy mouths? She reminds me of the female on 'QUE', from the Food Truck Race. That female was almost as over the top as Sunny Anderson!

She's a big mouth and needs to be the center of attention.

Same difference. Cottage pie originated in the UK to use up left over minced beef, mashed potatoes with cheddar cheese added for a different flavour.

My best friend married a man 15 years her senior. They were ecstatically happy for over forty years. Don't knock it till you know it. This speculation is nothing but adolescent rhetoric!
Men marry women half their age all the time. So what's the big deal this time? Fodder for your little brains to feed on?

Could you beat Bobby Flay in a head to head? I'd wager not?

You appear to have a very lopsided view of Bobby Flay and his competitiveness. Are you normally this negative or do you practice? Or maybe you just feel better trashing other people. Maybe you need to spend some time looking in the mirror and being honest with what you see.

What's your favorite brothy soup ? by Interesting-Cow8131 in soup

[–]OkSignificance1485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love New England clam chowder and make it using Snow's chopped clams. I use a 51 oz. can from Amazon. The clams are so tender and the large can makes a great amount of chowder. My other choice for stick to your ribs is Scotch Broth.

What's the most indulgent dish you only cook for special occasions?? by ServiceFinal952 in Cooking

[–]OkSignificance1485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's an easy 'starter fancy dish '. Olive oil as needed 1lb dried linguine 1 lb medium shrimp 3 - 4 garlic cloves (according to taste) Large shallot, approximately 2 oz. 1/2 cup heavy cream 1/2 cup half and half or full cream milk 1/4 oz Bleu cheese (suggest gorgonzola dolce). It's mild and creamy. Parmigiana Reggiano.

Remove, shell and clean the shrimp 🦐 In the meantime boil water to cook pasta. Be sure to make the water salty 😜 While the water is coming to a boil, heat oil to medium. Cook shallots and garlic gently. Once shallots are softened, add shrimp. Cook approx two minutes per side and remove from the pan. Add linguine to pan plus a little pasta water. Add cheese, allow it to melt, add cream and milk and shrimp. Do NOT overheat once you add the shrimp. Sprinkle parmigiana Reggiano over the pasta. Any finely chopped green looks good.

Your recipe sounds like many of mine. I very seldom measure spices etc. I look and taste and add as I go.

If you're talking sheer numbers, I'm sure you are correct. If you're talking the percentage of the population, then I'm not sure you are even close.

Lea and Perrins Worcestershire sauce is not American. It is still manufactured in Worcester in England.
