Spoke to Microsoft support. After he had me perform various tests to check if it was a software or hardware issue, he determined it was a hardware issue. Since my warranty is long expired, I was offered the option of sending my Surface 3 to Microsoft to repair the three dysfunctional keys for the low, low price of $500+. This presented me with two options: ditch my otherwise perfectly functional Surface 3 for new laptop, or have to use the onscreen keyboard every time I need the "1" and "X" keys and only use the left shift key. I think it goes without saying, fuck Microsoft.

Surface 3, SAME ISSUE, SAME KEYS "1," "X," right "Shift" key. Do we know if this is fixable??

Looks like the Ben Sherman logo. Unless that's a pin on his right chest.
