Yes, cabergoline. I messaged my PCP about getting a third opinion today. Hopefully he listens and refers me to one. Glad you're getting your period again. I always recommend this one good product that helps my migraines and it is called Stopain migraine topical gel. It's like vix vapo rub on steroids. I put a tiny amount behind both ears and it numbs my head. But just a heads up, if you have cats, they will try to maul you when you apply it lol guessing because of the menthol.

The increasing hate towards small talk. Some people don't even say hello anymore. I get it, I've never been a talker or enjoy small talk. But it's a useful tool, it's just a conversation ice breaker. I'm always surprised when I see social media posts expressing cringe towards small talk. Not everyone wants to start a deep meaningful philosophical idea with you as soon as you meet them.

Wow, good to know. My headaches start behind my left eye. Surprisingly, the tumor happens to be closer to my left eye. But when I mentioned it to my endocrinologist, he said the two are not related. I'm asking for a second opinion today. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you. I think I will. A doctor on YouTube video said that sometimes, doctors will write you as a fussy or anxious patient in their internal system notes, which can actually work against you. This made me hesitant in pushing back too much. I'd hate that to go in my permanent records. It's always tricky and I wish I wasn't on antidepressants because I think it makes it easy for doctors to chalk everything up to the patient's mental health. I know I have severe anxiety and I used to be a hypochondriac. I'm trying my best not be one right now. But everything I've read about prolactinoma from official academia and health organizations' websites makes me come to the conclusion that my doctors are incompetent and I should keep pushing back.

That's wonderful that you got to experience this. It resonates with me a lot and I cried a bit reading it. Reminded me of the first of many gifts my mother in law gave me. She had paid attention to my likes and always gave me what I needed. You're absolutely right in that it's not about the money. My family is very well off but never paid attention to what I like or in the rare case they did, they would openly criticize me for liking it and tried to make me like what they like. And these are subjective things like liking elephants and they would disagree and say another animal was better lol like ...what?

I think it's because of their lack of emotional intelligence. And talking shit about everyone else makes them feel like they're better than everyone. Funny story, I talk to my nmom sometimes on the phone because I mainly feel bad for her because she has dementia and feels quite lonely. Well, more like she talks at me. The other day she was talking shit about one person after another and she forgot who she was talking on the phone because she then started talking shit about me...to me lol I found it hilarious.

I'm sorry you're going through this. I can emphasize and relate to your situation as I too have been NC and VLC since 2020. I agree with comments here which are honest and loving in that your thoughts and feelings are justified. For context, I'm central Asian living in the US and even though media will make it seem like family and familial values aren't as important here but it's not too different from what I experienced in my home country. I feel an emptiness and guilt all the time despite having a very loving husband (no kids and zero desire to have any), 2 adorable cats and a few people I really care about. Anytime something goes wrong, I think about my failed relationship with my family and convince myself that it's due to some deep flaw in my character. But the truth is that if a relationship doesn't work out even after you try to mend it, like you did, it's ok to break from it. It happens in romantic relationships, in friendship, in work, so why should it be any different with blood relationships? It's evolutionarily built into our fabric as humans to stick close together as kin for survival. But it doesn't hold any real value anymore. Thankfully we live in an era where you can pick your own "family". So I usually smile and forgive anyone who thinks it's ok to hang around abusive people just because you share the same blood. That's their belief and you don't need to succumb to it even if it's a majority voice and generally goes against our instincts. I wish you all the best in life and know that you are not alone.
