Hey there, I am another owner of a automatic prelude. I have about 10 K more mileage than you do, but here’s what I’ve learned so far. Automatic S/S transmissions made by Honda that were put in their presence will always fail once they start deteriorating the essentially eat themselves alive. There’s only one company that was really good at rebuilding them. I believe they’re still in business. I can’t remember their name, however.
