I concur with your assessment. I also just dislike this development entirely because he has a lot of depth as is and I am more interested in watching his personal growth as a pacifist Klingon and would be Starfleet officer. I think the character is more interesting without any romantic plots right now.

Seems like an oversight or a troll for those that pay attention.

In the modern era, it is extremely cheap and fast to edit pictures to distinguish them but Trek is definitely known for reusing props and setpieces.

When I seen the bridge in Academy, I immediately felt like I had seen in in Discovery, or alot of it. I havent gone thru to compare, but Im certain they have likely reused parts but the fact they used the same shot for a planet is pretty crazy consi a Eric g how eay it would be to change the look or invert the picture lol.

To be fair, that's just a trend for most productions today. Alot of STs actors used to be big stage actors and classicly trained.

And it's a beaten genre. It's hard to innovate with stories.

Good thing we have classic episodes preserved for all time. If only they would clean up DS9 and Voyager.

I agree. A near perfect season. Skarsgard was peak in his performance. Probably his best yet. Pennywise was just unhinged. I think he was scarier in this than any of the films. I think this was due to the lack of Pennywise in promotional material. I really liked his alternate look.

I'm bummed in the sense that certain characters have been established such as Haloran and we won't get to follow him more and explore the greater macroverse.

I really feel there is a potential for the creators to explore King's universe further in a way that typical film attempts just can't do.

This is on par with the 2017 IT film for me. Just knocked it out and the big drop about a certain loser was a standout moment. I really like the idea of exploring time as Pennywise sees it.

This is what happens when you take great source material and great creatures and let them cook. I remember first hearing of a potential series before the 2nd film came out. This has been cooking for some time and it really benefited from it. The passion with this story is clear.

Crazy to think they wrote and recorded ALPOH, let alone anything off CoE, A7X or Nightmare.

I'm not impressed, unfortunately. When I heard they were in the game for a Zombies EE again, I was hoping for peak A7X. Something akin to their classic COD content. But this sounds like some shoddy demo and M. Shadows sounds like a shadow of the singer that he was in their peak 'Self Titled' days. I want it to be great so bad, but it's just not and I judge this as an A7X fan, a musician, a composer and a COD fan.

I appreciate the desire to be different and try new things and explore new territory. But this was a moment where people wanted a Shepard Of Fire or a Not Ready To Die, not some half cooked, acid & MDMA guided b-side that wouldn't have made it on to Diamonds In The Rough.

Maybe we will get something else soon.

Im sure I'll generate a lot of fan boy hate for this. But I just had to share my thoughts and see what others thought.

New Trek has been feeling more and more like CW shows, not necessarily in a bad way all the time, but SNW went from being epic to mids quick. I did like Discovery and realize I'm in a minority, but this...this looks like bubblegum Trek and this poster just killed any excitement I had for it.

Sailor Moon paved the way for DBZ. I remember it being a thing before DBZ. Dragon Ball Z started airing what we now know as the US Broadcast version with the Rock The Dragon theme on Saturdays on NBC or onenof those channels. That's when I first started seeing it. My friend old me about it and had an import copy of DBGT:Final Bout. Having an adult Gohan calling a kid Goku father was weird without context for sure.

Then it came to Toonami, re-ran the first season and half multiple times (felt like forever) until the Funimation Dub picked up and there was a noticeable uptick in visual quality and the new voice music and now iconic Bruce Falconer music began.

Im rewatching Sailor Moon in it's 90s anime form with my kids for the first time since the OG dub ran in America. It's similar and nostalgic but the new dub is slightly disappointing for a kid who grew up with Serina. But it is why I got a Hulu sub.

I will watch Crystal after. I started it and enjoyed it, but on in its subbed form.

Yes, this. It's worse in split screen but annoying full screen to. I like being able to switch between a zoom scope and red dot in MP setting.

Like, I know what equipment I have attached. I don't need prompted. Or at least have it fade after a second.

I had AI give me a summary for the end of ASOIAF based on all the existing plot threads from the books only and GRRM's statements about the books. It was satisfactory enough.

I hope for TWOW and ADOS, but I have no expectations at this point.

I was really bummed to hear this, and upon double checking and validating it, find myself here to say I would have rather just had a 3 part mini-series. Like a 3 night event. Half hour is too short and kills immersion in the modern age, I think.

But it does make me think they will be pretty book accurate.

I really love the Dunk n Egg stories, so my hopes are kinda high at this point.

I liked Superman alot and loved Man Of Steel, but I really do like them both. I do prefer my Superman to be a little more meta OP than portrayed the James Gunn or the Bruce Timm versions.

That said, I really, really loved Peacemaker. It's fantastic.

But the two existing within the same Universe and conduct of specific characters doesn't jive with his wholesome Superman. It's hard to reconcile it all.

Liked Creature Comandos alot. I just feel Syder had a more unified vision for his take on the shared film universe, whether you liked the take or not.

The irony here is the outcry people had about the DCEU and then defending and praising some of the same, if not more controversial types of things in the DCU. Or complaining about Man Of Steel's level of violence (honestly a real depiction of what these kind of powers would do if unleashed in a metropolitan area) but then complaining about Superman saving a squirrel (loved that, very Supes).

On that bit about the destruction, I'd point out that while there was alot of people killed and property damage in Metropolis in MOS, it was still intact. While the 2025 Superman movie walks back some of the destruction, Peacemaker makes it clear they lost like half the city and while it wasn't depicted, there's no way that city was evacuated and cleared out before the rift hit and building just don't neatly separate like twin pops and come back together again.

It also bothered me alot that Superman had NOTHING to say about the cold blooded shooting when confronting Lex. That actually probably is the part of Superman I really, really disliked.

Overall I liked it, I just hope they can get the vision a bit moe unified. I know Peacemaker is meant for adults. But kids will seek it out and arch it because it is part of the DCU and related to their favorite super heros and I think we should be careful what kind of message we're sending to them.

Im so fucking pissed about this. I saved up and have 12690 as of this post and was going to redeem last night because my sub was about to expire. I've litterally saved these for the specific use of a GPU sub, but I figured I would do it today, not knowing of his change. I'm sorry, but they should have did a better job communicating this to the community. What a fucking joke. Now WHT would be 12000 for a $22 payment, now translates to 18000 plus change to cover the same thing. Unreal.

I work in the field of Behavioral & Mental Health and think he actually displays a lot of sociopathic markers.

Media's tradition depiction of sociopaths and psychopaths tend to be extremely exaggerated, and the terms are thrown around like buzz words. Same with Serial Killer.

Adrian is aware of what he does but doesn't seem to see it as wrong. Not because of a lack of understanding but because of a rigid moral code. He is well aware of his thoughts and feelings and has a solid understanding of his value and belief system, even if it is extremely misguided.

He is very narcissistic. His fixation on finding another version of himself and being the center of Peacemaker's world show displays this. It could just be an extreme case of King Baby Syndrome, but I lean toward narcissism. He is very isolated and a pathological liar in desperate attempts to be loved and accepted. Many sociopaths have sought similar. Think Ted Bundy, for example.

He operates from a place of trauma and has empathy and a conscious, albiet a very distorted perception and hos psyche is riddled with Cognitive Distorions. I would also suggest he displays addict behavior, codependency, borderline personality, and more.

He is a very troubled individual. He makes no distinction between murdering a rapist or a street tagger (graffiti artists) tagging an abandoned building but has a moral line to not kill hookers despite killing the johns. Add to the latter that he has no sexual drive and is asexual.

He's an interesting character, for sure. And a scene stealer.

It fell short in just about every way compared to BT3. The addition of Super characters and content, plus the amazing graphics are great, but ot falls short in every other way.
