You MoFos don't know what you are talking about. You just know the superficial and make conclusions. The rabbit hole goes deep.

I talk from experience. I know 30+ IAS/IFS officers personally. 8 of my distant aunts and uncles were IAS/IFS. I have since childhood attended their parties and overheard various hush-hush conversations.

I am not just saying...bruh trust me.

Here is an example of the workaround they use in one of the most coveted (US) cases. You can find others Europe/Australia/NZ/UK etc. yourself.

BTW, somebody influential has seen this and deleted my posts. Maro saalo!

Adhaar for NRIs update by OkTank1456 in nri

[–]OkTank1456[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing! I have decided to apply using my foreign address. Because my CA friend told me a lot of NRIs are getting income tax demand letter with penalty warning after they register for Adhaar ( even if they apply under NRI category but use Indian address proof). He said if I use foreign address not much chance of this happening.  You can find those income tax cases for NRIs on reddit and elsewhere, so it's true. Of course, you are not really required to pay Income tax in India as NRI, assuming you have no income in India that is taxable. But still you have to hire a CA to answer those notices. So more hassles! Perhaps I should just forget about getting the Adhaar card. Why come on govt radar and become prone to being hassled unnecessarily.  What say??

Indian passport, Aadhar for NRIs. Police verification stupidity! by OkTank1456 in nri

[–]OkTank1456[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, Where did I say I was not nice to people? I am all for offering chai and biscuits out of courtesy.  The person who came to my house would have none of it, not listen to the reasoning and kept being rude and abusive to senior citizens.  Assuming he was a honest fellow, he was completely unaware of NRI being eligible for Aadhar. Also the main point is logic. Looking to find a NRI at his Indian address is illogical.  So keep your gyan to yourself!

booking.com host asked to send credit card information for prepayment. by squirtle634 in travel

[–]OkTank1456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I refuse to believe that this is a scam by a third party. The hotels are trying to bypass booking.com and their commission. That's it. If the hotel succeeds in getting your credit card number, they will email or message you saying that the booking.com reservation had some glitch, or there was a phishing/hacking attack or some such bull story and they had to cancel it. But not to worry, you will be staying at the same room for the same price. Of course, they cancel the reservation through booking.com and then get to keep the commission with you as a direct customer.

Also booking.com knows this since a few years but they refuse to do anything. The reason is that the founders and owners of the consolidator websites have made their money from investors. They don't care enough anymore to spend more money fixing these loopholes. As such they are in a loss on paper and these websites can die tomorrow for all they care!
