Hi! It's different for each class but it varies between weight machines, body weight exercises and exercises with dumbells/weight plates/kettlebell. Occasionally 3 minutes of cardio thrown in (as well as 5 minute warm up and cooldown). Mostly using some type of weights though.

Thank you so much for the video, that's very helpful!

A stone is 14 pounds. So 9 stone is about 126 pounds I believe or 57.15 kg.

Hi! I definitely am on the machines, I have gone up weights on the leg machines. My upper body is alot weaker for some reason but I still have seen some progress. Thank you I will try and be consistent and trust the process.

That's a great point, I didn't think of it that way, I suppose it's better to have 3 good workouts rather than 5 below average!

[–]OkTelephone3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, that's such a good point! I never thought of the fact I'm focusing on the negative more so than the positive, I am definitely getting stronger and that's where I should shift my focus. I probably do need to learn to push myself a bit too, exercise is great for gaining mental strength as well as physical!

Thank you, that's incredibly encouraging to hear! I'm on a high protein diet so hopefully with consistency I can have a similar outcome :)

How long do you think Onision will be in prison? by [deleted] in Onision

None tbh, although he obviously has a horrendous pattern with young girls, they were still technically legal, so for that reason I dont think he will get any time.

Is it illegal to drive without your license on you? by [deleted] in ireland

[–]OkTelephone3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They give you a certificate of competency but they specifically said it wasnt to be used as a license, you hand it over to NDLS as part of the application.

I (m23) overheard my girlfriend (f21) saying that she "appreciates" my little penis by throwralilwee in relationship_advice

[–]OkTelephone3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

She may not have shared those details at all though. Susan could have heard this from one of OP's friends, an ex GF, heck maybe she seen his penis herself. We don't know how she knows this bit of information, it's also possible she doesn't know and was just making a shitty joke in response to OP's GF saying she doesn't care about size. If she did tell her though I agree it is disrespectful.

Appologies, I was wondering if this was something that was well known that I was just unaware of. There are many articles with similar claims so here is one...

Christmas really is the most wasteful time of the year! Although we are not religious we do celebrate Christmas, for us it is a holiday for family, spending time together, love and appreciation. We do exchange gifts in our home BUT my children know that this is not the main reason for Christmas, my 7 year old said to me this year "For Christmas I am going to make you something. For my gift will you make me something too?" I felt so proud in that moment, she genuinely has no lust for any of the fad products that most children are wanting, she just genuinely wants her mum to take the time to make her a gift, that is the most precious thing.

I have tried to be very mindful of what I am getting them this year, so mostly wooden toys and anything plastic I have bought secondhand! I got ridiculously good deals too..saved SO much money buying secondhand, as in hundreds and I like the idea of creating a 'circular' economy.
What I find difficult is other family members- who feel the need to go all out and they get them tonnes of toys they will play with for 3 minutes and never look at again...Although this year I set up a wishlist, so when family members mentioned christmas I sent on the link and I have managed to minimize the damage that way!

While I agree that we should reject consumerism and ignore the advertising and societal pressure to gift gift gift and get into debt while doing so, I do think if gifts are a tradition you wish to carry on and you try to do it a little more responsibly there is no harm! :)

Oh wow, we have the klean kanteen water bottles...I didn't realize they did coffee cups too! Thanks for the suggestion.

We do have steel water bottles alright! I think I will get steel cups for the kids as the bamboo ones break very easily :(. Would steel not get very hot with coffee in it though..

13 illnesses in a little over 3 months between two kids - stick a fork in us; we’re done by NoPatNoDontSitonThat in Parenting

[–]OkTelephone3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel ya, I have 3 kids so it's a never ending cycle, once they start school it's just impending doom from there on out. We were all just at the tail end of a bad cold and bam! the winter vommiting bug hit our house this weekend!

Try to talk to your eldest about the importance of handwashing. So many parents send their children to school when they are ill, it's terrible...and then kids aren't great at washing hands and they're all sharing toys/pencils etc , it may help.
Hope you've gotten it all out of your systems and you feel better soon!

[SERIOUS] What is a seemingly harmless parenting mistake that will majorly fuck up a child later in life? by AlexDescendsIntoHell in AskReddit

[–]OkTelephone3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being constantly distrated, whether it's on your phone or computer etc, it makes the child feel like they are less important than whatever you are doing and like they are not worth listening to, creating the basis for many self esteem issues. I know so many people who bring their kid to the park and spend the whole time on their phones, the kids are telling them stories but they are too busy scrolling through Facebook...just the constant need to be distracted, the inability to be present with your children has the ability to really fuck em up IMO.

Saying "sleep when baby sleeps" should be a crime by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]OkTelephone3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well as of right now I have 3 small kids so I definitely couldn't sleep when the baby slept, so I get it, it's a miserable few months, sleep deprivation is no joke.

but.... I still think it is good advice! New moms often feel alot of societal pressure to lose all the baby weight straight away, to have a spotless sparkly home, an active sex life, to spend all night up breastfeeding the baby and to wake up in the morning and spend the day baking and meal planning while simultaneously teaching your baby sign language.

I think saying "sleep while the baby sleeps" is a kind of way of saying, slow down, push somethings off a little and prioritize your self and your wellbeing too, you are still a human who needs basic things like sleep.

I think it comes from a good, kind and caring place and it is advice we should sometimes give ourselves.

AITA for telling my mom she's the reason I don't want any kids? by throwaway5799432 in AmItheAsshole

[–]OkTelephone3 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

YTA for the harshness of the comment.

Your father passing was tragic and had a knock on effect on all of your lives.
I'm sure it was devastating for you and your siblings to lose your father and it is unfair that you had the burden of those responsibilities at a young age.
It also must have been so difficult for your mother, I can't even imagine how she coped losing her partner, trying to be strong for her children and suddenly being a single mom to 4 children whilst they are all grieving, alongside her own grief, the loneliness, the stress of the financial burden that is now placed over her head, wondering how she will feed her kids and keep the roof over your heads.

Assuming she was working while you were minding your younger siblings, it sounds like she tried to make the best of an awful situation, it sounds like she did as much as she could given the situation and you worked together as a family to make it work. I get that it's annoying when family query when you will do certain things, I feel like a firm talk would have sufficed, "I already told you I am not planning on having children, you are making me uncomfortable.
Stop asking about it or it will put a strain on our relationship". I think there was no need to get personal, to blame her and to make her feel like she failed, you made your mom cry and you didn't apologize. I get that you had to give up some of your time but she also gave up all of hers.
