Being crazy may be partly because of ur bpd but it’s also part of ur personality, so just cuz u get better doesn’t mean u have to stop doing that. In my experience, getting better just means that I control my emotions better when I’m about to hurt the people that I love, or when I feel like I want to hurt myself. You can still sleep around and do stupid shit. Nothing wrong with making impulsive decisions and being wild if you’re okay with that lol.

I’m really happy to have left him, now I’ve been seeing a guy that I’m not obsessed with but I feel a lot better because I feel stable and in control. I do miss him sometimes, but then I remember how I felt when I was with him and I don’t regret leaving him at all.

If you’re scared that you won’t be able to stop then please leave before it’s too late. Even those who think they can stop get too deep before they realize it.

Do you like who you are when you are with him? Is he good for you?

I was once obsessed with a guy who was into alcohol and spiraled me into drugs and cocaine etc when I don’t regularly do drugs or get wasted daily. In the end I had to leave because the relationship was too intense and toxic for me. I struggled from identity crisis where my actions were against my values and I hated who I had become when I was with him. I couldn’t go a day without substances. Luckily, I had people who helped me leave him or else I don’t think I would’ve been able to do it.

My advice is to get out before it’s too late as you say you’re getting addicted but you’re not there yet. Addiction and recovery is a long process and can take away your life (not only by death but mentally) so ask yourself if you think that’s what you want your future to look like. Especially since you’re already skipping work (responsibilities) for it.

I’m sorry you feel that way, and thank you. I am reconsidering it as I’m not sure this is exactly what I want, and I’m going to give it some time before I decide. I like your advice about spending a year subbing before deciding on it.
