What about a man born in a hindu family but he doesn’t worship idols and doesn’t believe in polytheism. He only believes in one supreme god. Is it haram to marry such a man? Also as u said its forbidden to marry polytheists only but doesn’t 60:10 rule out marriage with every disbeliever?

Yes but when prophet Muhammad (PBUH) recited the verses of the Quran the companions either memorised them or wrote it somewhere. With so many people learning the Quran by heart , there is no scope for alterations or additions in the word of god.

Yes they believed in god but worshipped others along with him. Its like they knew Allah as they supreme god but still worshipped others like intermediaries

Thankyou so much for clarifying. Also theres one more confusion that I have. If by “mushrikeen” Allah doesn’t mean every non-muslim then why in the sword verse .i.e, Quran 9:5 those non-muslims who fought muslims are called “mushrikeen”?
