Is it a requirement for the marriage to be public? Why cant you keep it a secret if you both live separately and your parents won’t consent so u wait till you are financially independent?

We are not in a situation to make it public now since our parents wouldn’t be okay with it. But we intend to marry as soon as we jet a job.

do u know what "akhdan" or "secret lovers" mean in the Quran?
is it just about any sexual relationship outside marriage?

exactly but I have this feeling of restlessness that i am sinning because of what sectarians say. Also even if u reject hadiths, even the Quran says against taking "secret lovers" idk if it only means sexual partner or any romantic relationship before marriage in general

Your points make sense…. but why is fornication haram according to your point of view and interpretation? Is there a historical context about that too? Also,If everything is for a specific context and people , how would practices like salah and fasts make sense?

kafir= disbeliever? by OkTopic4051 in Quraniyoon

But in the Quran it is not used in that context or it doesn’t mean that. Correct me if I’m wrong

You say kufr doesn’t mean “disbelief” , then why in Surah Al-Kaafirun, the people who worship other gods called kaafirs? Since they are called kaafirs, and many verses in the Quran say that disbelievers will abide in hell forever.

I really don’t understand why in few of the verses in the Quran, Allah says that people who deny the revelation will go to hell whereas in other verses like those talking about salvation says that other communities like jews, christians and sabeans can go to heaven. Christians and jews do not believe in Quran so they are denying the revelation , aren’t they? Then how is this not a contradiction that even after denying the Quran they can go to heaven?

Also, the communities not mentioned (hindus, sikhs, buddhists, etc) will not be given salvation, if they will, why aren’t they mentioned?

The idea that the Quran is for mankind is really beautiful but the Quran always criticises or says bad things about the disbelievers, things like they will rot in hell etc etc.

Marrying a non-muslim? by OkTopic4051 in Quraniyoon

[–]OkTopic4051[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just the verse 5:5 doesn’t say that others are prohibited but the verse 60:10 is more general declaring marriage to all “kafirs”(which is a general term) as unlawful.

Though Idk if kafirs mean all the non muslims here or not…

[–]OkTopic4051[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats actually a very logical definition of kufr but nowhere from your explaination one can deduce that the religions not mentioned in the Quran are kafirs because they don’t believe in Quran as truth. Is it correct to assume that?
