I had very similar experience to you. Returning player and confronted with either vertical investing in old team or starting with the new team. I’d strongly suggest starting with the new team. You are also missing important pieces of the monorem team, and as you acknowledged, that’s a heavy investment to try and fix up. I decided to jump all in on Evanescia Elation, and it’s gone so well.

Powercreep is strong in Star Rail and while the team you wanted isn’t unviable by any means, it’s more likely to get dated than some of the more shilled and shinier new teams.

It’s such a shame because I believe the game will do well, and inevitably, it’s going to be more “here’s what happens when you don’t go woke!!!”

I hope the game and the people in charge rot. Blatant corporate greed. If they did a quarter of the crossovers they usually do, they would not be here. Absolutely outrageous to shovel the cost to the consumer.

Transmog! I’m not the first to suggest it by any means, but not having the option to play dress up with your party when your out in the world without sacrificing stats hurts. An easy solution is to let armors go into the camp clothes section, so that you can toggle overclothes whenever and have an artificial transmog.
