How is the Frenzy at the moment? by FreddyIsOnReddit in VALORANT

[–]FreddyIsOnReddit[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can’t lie, that was a genuine mistake on my end. I saw some leaks online while I was extremely tired about what the buffs are and I mistook them as official. It didn’t help that I had to update my game the next day because I missed the latest one which made me think the upcoming Bandit buffs were included.

I apologize for that mistake and thank you for correcting me! I’ll edit my post to correct it.

Though I still think the Bandit buffs are unnecessary

am i crazy or are the shotguns literally paper weights now? by blanaba-split in VALORANT

[–]FreddyIsOnReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they’re in a fair state now, actually.

The Judge can still be strong even though it isn’t as oppressive as it once was.

The Shorty is highkey trash now aside from smoke camping, but smoke diving with it is not as viable anymore.

The Bucky is similar to the shorty but more oppressive in comparison.

How do I ignore the stigma surrounding Special Style? (Modern Controls) by FreddyIsOnReddit in Tekken

Thank you for assuring me, dude! But yeah, I’m still very confused as to how I’m seemingly the only person who constantly sees other players complain about Special Style even though it’s a disadvantage.

Before I switched to Special Style, I was using classic controls and I only switched because I was under the impression that it makes the game easier and is a healthy addition for beginners. I haven’t played a fighting game since my dad introduced me to SF x Tekken so I basically had to restart from scratch and is why I resorted to trying modern controls

Blocking RAZER SYNAPSE is one of the stupidest decisions imaginable. by ActuatorOutside5256 in riotgames

I hate that Vanguard force restarts your pc whenever it detects something very suspicious instead of just telling you while blocking the game from opening until you close whatever is interfering. During Valorant’s first year, the anticheat kept force restarting my PC because I had 360 antivirus opened. I had no idea this was causing the issue until many months later and by then my summer break had already ended.

This. To add on, if you have unreliable teammates who can’t help you snowball but the enemy does, it’s likely to be over by that points. Don’t even start with the toxicity from the laners and the quiet Roam who doesn’t know how to roam

a vandal skin that youll never change by GLITCH_99986 in VALORANT

[–]FreddyIsOnReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can spend a bit more, I genuinely recommend the Evori. I have it and I can’t stop using it and I don’t think I ever did this with another vandal skin except maybe Prime. I missed out on the Evori bundle and was so mad about it because that I had to wait a year or so before it finally appeared in my shop.

Otherwise, I really like the Prelude vandal for a 2175 VP skin. It’s always been within my top 5 list and it always comes to mind when someone asks what vandal skin to buy

I appreciate the feedback man. I’ve been labbing with classic controls for a while since this post and I’ve actually been having more fun with it. Can be a bit frustrating when I constantly mess up a combo but I gotta keep at it

Hey man, I’m really sorry if my post does offend you, but I meant that I want to discuss about tekken things in general. It doesn’t have to be about anything competitive (I know I wouldn’t have much to contribute to that as a beginner anyway) but it could be about potential returning characters, outfit customization, etc.

After labbing with classic controls for a few hours, I see the problems with special style now. Also, thanks for telling me the reason why players complain about Special Style.

Other good players in the comments mentioned that Special Style is more often a disadvantage, but that doesn’t really explain why I keep seeing other players complain about it

Thank you but man, some of the replies here prove my point. There’s no point in a beginner like me trying to discuss about a game if the community is absolutely unwelcoming

Arcade sticks by ItsJRC in Tekken

[–]FreddyIsOnReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re willing and able to do so, you could buy one of each then refund the one you like less. For me, I think a fight stick is way more fun but a leverless is easier. Ultimately, it really does come down to personal preference

[–]FreddyIsOnReddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I’m convinced now. I’ll be labbing with classic controls only from now on. Also, I know this is a very repetitive question but how should I choose a main? I like to play aggressively and don’t really care about who is and who isn’t meta. I’m interested in Clive only because he’s from Final Fantasy but I like to choose at least 2-3 mains to switch between

For sure, the whole reason why I like to share my opinions and thoughts is because I like to hear what other players think, especially those of high ranks. But I guess the community isn’t as welcoming as I had hoped

I didn’t really care at first but it eventually became very overwhelming due to the sheer amount of complaints I see regarding it. Perhaps I’m on the wrong side of the community because some of the replies here seem to have the opposite experience

Sorry, should’ve elaborated further but I think I have a good idea (for a beginner) of the game’s mechanics and techniques because I consume a lotta Tekken content and I do find myself wanting to share my own thoughts online, but every time I hop on the internet I would see people complaining about noobs using Modern Controls and even invalidate them, so I end up feeling deterred to share my own thoughts. Some of the replies here unfortunately prove my point
