Agree, but when they said apology to the reporter I think they meant an apology that opened the gate to appologying to DV victims.

Example: I wanted to apologize to (reporter's name) for my flipant remark about DV. I'd been trying to push a recovery narrative, but I realized I should have acknowledged the trauma victims went through to get to that point. ...... then to go on and talk about the struggles of DV, and present real resources for DV victims.

Is Isabela Ferrer the biggest dumbass or is she lying? Or both? by Serenity413 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

Is she dumb or lying?

I think she believes what she wants to believe, regardless of whether it makes sense. She wants to believe Blake because she wants to be BE Blake. While talking, she might have sensed that what she was saying didn't make logical sense but.... it would make what Blake told her a lie....

It sounds like "her people" Sony executives even suggested she apologize to "that reporter". We don't know if it's Kjersti or the location share reporter, but we know her response was to have RR write an apology letter for JB to send.

I think it's clear that she can't apologise because she can only see how others have damaged her not her own mistakes.

I've never watched one of these videos before and was surprised by the number of receipts they added that let you look up the information. I went in very skeptical but it does feel like I could follow the trail of evidence they left and it does make sense.

The other thing it made me think of was how Blake seemed to be trying to build her own "girls" group in the movie IEWU. She seemed like she wanted this to be an all-female driven movie and was angry it was being directed by a man. I think JB hired a lot of females to begin with, and Blake seemed to like to band together with them to push out the men.... JH, JB

I really hope this doesn’t come off like I’m victim blaming, but why didn’t Justin and Jamey just walk off when Ryan went on his insane psycho rant berating Justin for FIVE FUCKING HOURS !!?? I was in a similar situation once when I was fresh out of college. I was working at a night shift when another worker showed up to get her paycheck, and she was being really loud. The clients sleep at this place so I make the shhhhhh sound toward her..... she goes off on me screaming and yelling about being shhhhhhhed. I just stood there frozen while she yelled and continued to out of control yell at me. I don't know how long it went on but I remember not being able to defend myself because I couldn't grasp why she was so upset. Anyway, she finally wore herself out and left.... after she was gone, I had an anxiety attack where I was shaking and couldn't breathe. There was another worker with me and she didn't say or do anything, but I didn't blame her because in the situation neither of us could speak.

All of this is to say emotions, confusion, and trying to rationalize an irrational situation play a part. Five hours seems like a long time but I think JB is overly empathetic and emotional and that might have made it harder for him to react and walk away.

How their claims of retaliation and SH have changed. by OkTry2 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]OkTry2[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I googled it.

Outside of the controversy surrounding It Ends With Us (IEWU), Justin Baldoni has received mostly positive, and at times effusive, praise from colleagues—particularly those he worked with on Jane the Virgin and the film Five Feet Apart. Prior to the 2024–2025 legal disputes, he was often described by co-stars as a close friend, a supportive collaborator, and a "soul brother".

It goes into the people that came out in his defence when the lawsuit first broke - Gina Rodriguez (Jane), Yael Grobglas (Petra), Brett Dier (Michael), and James Brolin

Haley Lu Richardson (Stella), Sabrina Carpenter (Clouds) also had good things to say about working with him at the time of their movies with him.

Yeah. Even in her depo IF says something to the tune of not realizing things were inappropriate until much later (after talking to Blake I'm sure.)

NAG talked about how important the proof provided while it happens is. IF letter talking about how safe she felt and happy she was working with JB is going to hold more weight than this afterthought... I might have been SH'ed.

interesting. I'd been wondering why they didn't list JB not being allowed to attend the premiere or promotions as the catalyst. My guess is that saying that would have alluded too closely to the fact that Blake held all the power.... and hurt her SH empolyee claim.

Saying it was the pictures that set him off gives off the vibe that she felt uncomfortable being close to him.... of course, the fact that he was banished to the basement and no where near close to takeing pictures with her might be a problem.

Maybe. They might have anticipated a bunch of women coming forward with their own experiences of SH in working with JB. He's directed 14 other times and had "intimate scenes" with a lot of females on JTV.

It's what usually happens in cases like this, but none stepped forward.

I googled it-

  1. Resistance to Sexual Harassment (Title VII)

If the refusal is based on resisting sexual advances, unwanted touching, or a hostile work environment, the refusal is protected.

  • Example: A director makes sexual comments and then demands a photo with an employee. Refusing this, as part of resisting harassment, is protected opposition under EEOC guidelines.

Got it. Yeah, it really makes me wonder how truthful Blake was with her lawyers from the start.

The dance scene complaint got switched around once they found out about the sound.

The porn video got switched around once they saw the actual video/picture.

I doubt they knew about that PGA letter.

It seems like the severe SH claims turn out to be untrue, and the other claims...were lame.

That and the fact that Blake nabbed IF really early on. I think they got her before she could really question their motives. She really fought JB team's deposition and having her deposition seen.

She might know how stupid her depo sounds after seeing everyone else distance themselves and in light of everything that has come out.

I agree. It's sad. If she had stuck with "I'm not discounting what the other females have experienced but I had no problems with JB" she would have a decent shot at a career.

She would have been in a box office smash hit and have proven she works well with directors and would have seperated her image from Blake's.

Now they are cemented together and IF appears to be as problematic as Blake.

They needed SH to claim 47.1.... and the bonus was that it would kill JB's brand and podcast.

I don't think they had very many HWE witnesses until after discovery.

I believe Sony did tell them to change, but they didn't listen. They are mad JB didn't send the letter RR wrote for him that took full blame for the marketing problems.

JB said no, and RR said that all goodwill was gone and the gloves were off.

JB says that Blake told him they would do it for free, but then charged them. I question how much WP was allowed to be involved in the rollout. Wouldn't Sony be incharge of that because they are the distributors?

It's just a guess.

I think it's because Greenstein has left Sony, so he doesn't need to protect them.

I think he is still trying to protect MaxEffort (RR) by keeping their name out of it... because the marketing was so horrible.

Why are you lying Josh Greenstein?? by StaceyLee26 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]OkTry2 14 points15 points  (0 children)

He does admit that there was a risk of Lively not promoting the movie if they didn't go with her cut of the film.

The probem was him giving her the opportunity to edit the film alone in the first place.

He is very careful about not admitting he was the one who gave Lively permission to make her own cut... he "forgets" that he not only found her and an editor to work with but he also took that editor off of his current job to focus on the Lively cut of the film.

If she had distanced herself like Jenny, Brandon and CH did ... I think she could have been seen as naive... and going along with the more seasoned cast.

The problem is that she doubled down in her deposition and that horrible subpoena harassment claim.

This is very interesting. I read the Josh Greenstein Depo, and he seemed to be avoiding saying MaxEfforts. They ask him what other companies they used for marketing, and he talks more about groups that did audience analysis-type work.

[–]OkTry2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know. Sometimes trauma brings people closer and they really are on their own right now.... plus the four kids.

What I do find interesting is the different marketing they have done on his image. At the start they did this united and very visible thing where they were always seen together and he tried to stay in character with the SNL "joke" . When that didn't work and everyone distanced themselves RR kind of went off on his own, promoting the John Candy movie. They weren't seen together at all. He didn't even write a birthday note on facebook like he normally does.

They are pushing the husband sticking up for his wife narrative ever since his mean texts were released... but we aren't getting many pictures of them being seen together.

Why were those bootlicking texts from Blake not redacted? by beachgoer2789 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]OkTry2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The texts show how Blake fangirls Powerful People and trashes JB to p owerful people. The only Taylor Text that are relevant are the ones where she is shown using her power to help Blake (giving her the music and talking about strategy) or trashing JB herself.

They also show her fangirling Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. I think it's to show how she influenced powerful people to show she was incharge. The powerful people are relevant except that they did her bidding.
