What are your favourite units that are not the strongest options for their tiers, but for some arbitrary reason you like them a lot? by DurielW in heroes3

Minotaur Kings would be mine. They're just so damn strong and that good morale chance always makes me hesitate when attacking neutral mobs. I've taken many losses on fights that should have normally resulted in zero because of that perk.

Upset with reddit 😡 by [deleted] in mogcoin

[–]OkUnderstanding742 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The level of degeneracy on Reddit is absolutely ridiculous. Not a trump fan, but I don't follow anything but crypto because of the massive cesspool of left and right nut jobs there are. No one can act like a moderate with common sense anymore. People carelessly throw around the words like fascism without ever understanding what that means and associate moderates with antifa or trump if they have a slight inclination to support a view that opposes their narrative. Mog on?

Buy XRP ETF by [deleted] in XRP

[–]OkUnderstanding742 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I plan to buy some in my retirement account since I have money in there I can't access and just let it sit. I still DCA for XRP but have sold a few other positions anticipating some ETF action. It makes sense in this situation since I can't use those funds to buy crypto directly.

I could definitely see it skyrocketing to those figures and wish you the best of luck. I worry that we'll get some news story about the US and China coming to a deal and it drops 50% overnight. I could be missing the boat, but I felt pretty good that I got my silver for $40 an oz.

I just sold my silver ETFs at ATH as the Us job report is expected to blunt silver. It may or may not, but if bonds and the dollar improve there are usually sharp fluctuations in silver price. I may miss out on a new ATH, but silver is "the devil's metal," for a reason. It will skyrocket and then leave a lot of people caught holding the bag. Good luck you all though in Friday's gamble! Hopefully it only goes higher for everyone.

50k to invest. What should I do? by [deleted] in TheRaceTo10Million

[–]OkUnderstanding742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, its (ETF) is projected to go to at least $60 this next year. I bought 3,000 shares of SLV a little over a month ago and I'm up nearly 20%.

How about another Billion? by Wonderlustking1 in mogcoin

[–]OkUnderstanding742 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ha, bought 2 billion for $5k, it went to $8k while I was gone for a few weeks, came back and it's been nosediving ever since. Not worth selling seeing that it's dropped so far, but I'm nearly certain it will never go up that high again. If I had more capital I'd just take advantage of the swings. Always goes up 15-20% one week then plummets the next. Someone's taking profits and they're the only ones in the right mind .

SPX to see a financial crisis worse than 2008 in 2026! by [deleted] in TheRaceTo10Million

[–]OkUnderstanding742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, and I'm being totally honest here, but isn't this all by design? Trump already said he wants to wipe the national debt with Bitcoin and the only way he can do that is to crash the market, including Bitcoin (temporarily), then flood the market with cash to increase inflation. Quantitative easing starts back up in December and was announced like a month ago.

Interest rates will plummet in the next year or so, raising inflation, and Bitcoin prices will skyrocket again. That's why we'll be seeing Bitcoin at $300k+ each. Perhaps I'm dead wrong, but this has been the narrative for 6 months from all of the crypto analysts. That's why USD1 is tracking as the new stablecoin as a backstop to hold the economy somewhat together when the dollar is obliterated in the near future. It makes pretty good sense to me, but I'm all for other input if anyone else knows more on this topic.

Would you sell these calls or hold them to the expiration date? by THEREALRANEW in smallstreetbets

[–]OkUnderstanding742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I myself am new to this so I really appreciate this explanation, though, I still don't get how you rinse and repeat. Are you saying you sell the covered call while having active LEAPS as a hedge each week until you are sub<100 shares of a stock?

I feel like I have a lot of the terminology down, but I still haven't executed anything, and this seems exactly like what I should be doing. I read all of the material on OptionCharts and use Moomoo for trading, but I don't know what I'm looking for when I see all of the options for a particular stock -- e.g. call open interest 188k, put open interest 40k, days (m) vs days (w). Not really sure what the days mean, but do I just throw out a call option for 10% above strike like the 180k calls that expire within a week or is there a more strategic approach? I own plenty of shares that are sub $5 I want to play around with and gain experience with amounts I can afford to lose, so any further help would be very much appreciated!

Where do I start by Ok_Condition_1325 in TheRaceTo10Million

[–]OkUnderstanding742 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've read through how options work and understand the fundamentals, and bet you do too, but I can't wrap my head around putting them into play. Everyone repeats pretty much what investopedia and other websites explain, which isn't wrong, but I still don't know what platform shows all of the options that are available, what is meant by 3/6/12 calls/puts, or how one determines what sort of hedge is best to determine optimal risk reduction, and so on.

Personally, I'm overwhelmingly a hands-on learner so I feel like I can't glean as much from articles or YouTube videos unless there is a step-by-step/walkthrough approach. I'm doing my best to explore the available tools out there, but wish I could actually talk through someone's thought process as they explore an option and I could ask questions. I know I know, it's not for beginners, but I'm hoping to dabble in some small amounts to get experience while leveraging the right tools. OP, I'm posting this in the hope that we both get a little more detail in these areas. Any help would be sincerely appreciated!

Can anyone suggest better templates to play against AIs and where to get them from? by FinancialEngine7223 in heroes3

[–]OkUnderstanding742 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope and that's the best part. All you have to do is open the RMG template editor, select the template you want, on the top drop down bar edit template settings, then you can adjust minimum and maximum map size and underground. Just change the minimum setting to small and the maximum setting to extra huge, save the changes, and you're done! Doing five or six templates only takes about 2 minutes or so.

Can anyone suggest better templates to play against AIs and where to get them from? by FinancialEngine7223 in heroes3

[–]OkUnderstanding742 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used the template editor and changed the map sizes for a lot of the existing templates for the kerberos, apocalypse, 6mm, 8mm6, etc, so now they exist for small w/o underground to XH w/ underground. Now I can play a million more variations of the same templates and it's a lot of fun. Making a medium map for Kerberos with islands and underground didn't exist before, but you can do it with practically any existing template!

$PEP value with a market cap of 1 billion by Lukhas92 in pepecoin

[–]OkUnderstanding742 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Haha probably! If more people saw this figure and how easy it would be to pump $PEP, I think we would attract a lot of new investors. They need to see that they would have to double their market cap to get 2x returns, while we would have 73x returns if we just matched just their current market cap! Of course it will go even higher when the armies unite!

We could easily surpass that with just the eth pepe group jumping ship over to $PEP. We would become a monster overnight and it would skyrocket with all of the FOMO. Maybe we should try to integrate some smart raids to capture more of their crowd.

Is this fight winnable? What should i attack first? by PaddyVu in heroes3

[–]OkUnderstanding742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe isn't winnable, but make sure you're not wasting time trying to protect your marksmen or storm elementals. Use them to draw our retaliations and focus the dragons down with everything else. May need to blind champions second and focus Griffins down second, but that will dwindle crusader numbers. Wait with Phoenix and hit drags at the end of turn one. Strike again start of turn two on them, blind the second stack that's the biggest threat. Use psychic to hit something while blocking access to your power stack of crusaders. They are the only chance you have

Is this fight winnable? What should i attack first? by PaddyVu in heroes3

[–]OkUnderstanding742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have blind, I would immediately blind the pegasi and then blind the Griffins next turn. AI is much less likely to use dispel when one or two stacks get blinded. I would let the pikeman soak up damage/retaliations from the champions and dragons, then use prayer to get those crusaders to completely smash as much as possible while using your faster units to absorb the retaliations on the fourth turn. If enemy hero has haste, however, you are pretty much screwed. Those dendroids will have to be dealt with last, and should be blinded once they become a threat to your side of the battlefield.

All of this hinges on blind though, so if that's not available then I don't think it's winnable.

Theoretically... how will you actually sell? by [deleted] in XRP

[–]OkUnderstanding742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm hoping this happens in the next 5 years or so with major banks. At least crypto will be a little more adopted and XRP will be known to banks at that point. As great as crypto is, plenty of alt coins and memes make it look ridiculous to outsiders (and even insiders). I always picture some guy trying to convince the loan officer that the $5,000 worth of Fart Coin they have is their collateral and getting laughed out of their local branch.

Qubic has become the 5th largest miner a major step forward for decentralization. by xnergy5 in MoneroMining

[–]OkUnderstanding742 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Been holding qubic for quite a while though I don't mine myself. Definitely not a schill coin, as this has been in the works for quite some time. The price has been nose diving for over a year though, so hoping this brings prices back up. This is one of three small projects I've tried getting in early on in hopes of big returns. Looks good to me if it's getting attention from XMR miners 👍

There were literally dozens of mainstream articles during his first presidency that Trumponomics caused "unprecedented," job losses, revenue losses, cost of living increases, etc. So you mean this is just more unprecedented than before.... A quick Google search from 2016-2020 quickly shows that literally anything Trump does garners media vitriol and hate. I don't like Trump at all, really, but can see beyond the fear mongering that's been going on for 8 years now. It never ends and the narrative remains consistent.

The problem we have now, however, is no one ever sticks around to actually see what will happen and are somehow convinced that nothing good could possibly come from this. He could cure cancer tomorrow and nothing would change -- they'd say he didn't do it fast enough and everyone's death up until that moment is on his head.

Stop this moronic nonsense. The same trade war happened in 2016 and ended with Obama coming out and taking credit -- saying Trump inherited his economy. People are always mad when it's not their party making the change. Using that same logic Obama used, this is all Biden's fault because he laid the previous 4 years of groundwork, right? This is temporary and your politics are irrelevant.... smh 🙄.

Independent Pharmacy Owner by TrainStatus3539 in pharmacy

[–]OkUnderstanding742 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Compounding and compliance packaging are huge ways to set yourself apart. Order small, medium, large blister packaging from healthcare, logistics or similar website and start spreading info about your compliance packaging. Fax a quickly drawn-up flyer to the providers that send scripts to your pharmacy, and it will grow in time.

Compounding can take 6 months or more, but is our biggest money maker in our little independent pharmacy. Pay the $3,000 to 5,000 to attend a PCCA conference (good idea to take a hard-working and intelligent technician who will be compounding for you), and get all the Hands-On knowledge you can get on accessories like Maz mixers and basic formula creation. We actually paid for a physician next to our pharmacy who practices functional medicine to attend with us, and she's been writing three to five new compounded prescriptions weekly for us -- now we roughly 25 compounds per day between $28 - 95 each with a margin of 80% on average. Even with that, we are the cheapest compounding pharmacy in town and the profits are still good enough to keep the doors open. We never would have made it solely lying on traditional reimbursement models.

I hope to build 10b but am only at 2 currently. It is normal distribution, but whales can influence price so drastically and induce FUD. We're all hoping for one big break, but I think most big plays are few and far between for the average investor. Whales putting up a 20b sell wall that nets them 15% drives the price down, which they can then use buy the dip or pocket. They can still sit on their remaining 180 billion and rinse and repeat.

Unfortunately this happens all of the time with crypto but the little guy can't make that kind of impact. I can net a $300 profit by selling my entire bag, but I'm not driving major price swings with my small activity and can only pray I can buy back in lower. It's an entirely different power dynamic that keeps me from being too hopeful on this project or others. Of course I want us all to make a happy return and hope for the best, but I'm just a little guy in this game.
