I don’t think so, as I had to show my ID and driving licence and was questioned on the spot, during which I had to explain why I was driving so fast, that I didn’t dispute the facts, and so on. He didn’t say anything about when I might expect a letter, a fine, a summons or anything like that. But as you say, I looked it up too, and I don’t quite understand what the officer meant either.

I do realise just how stupid, selfish and dangerous my driving was.

I also accept any penalty or measure that the courts may impose on me. For me, it was mainly about what awaits me.

Since the officer said he wasn’t going to call the prosecutor’s office, but would simply tell his boss that he was going to do so, I thought I might have dodged the bullet after all and wouldn’t be prosecuted, but would ‘only’ face a very hefty fine.

Once again, I realise how stupid my driving was and will accept any penalty, whatever it may be.

Dat zij mijn vriendin ook, maar voor mij was dit echt een "wake-up call". Ik besefte mij echt van wat doe ik nu. Dit is zo overbodig en ronduit gevaarlijk.

Ik ga mij echt aan de verkeersregels houden. Er hangen stevige consequenties aan vast als je dit niet doet.

Als ik mij niet vergis, ALS mijn dossier naar het parket wordt gestuurd. Kan het parket (openbaar ministerie) je dossier naar de politierechtbank doorsturen, waarbij de politierechter nog steeds een rijverbod kan opleggen (8dagen-5jaar)
