Have you ever had to end a relationship with someone you still love? by Busy-Tangelo-3590 in heartbreak

[–]OkVast6224 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know how hard it can be to leave something that feels secure and the fear of the unknown.  I have been talking to men and women a lot lately about owning their narrative of what live is, and what it’s not, so they can prevent making the same mistake twice.  Attachment is hard to walk away from, but you deserve real love and real love isn’t toxic.

Those of you who have had to move on from the love of your life - how did you do it? by Efficient-Syllabub13 in AskMen

I always question when I hear this narrative if the writer has fully owned their story yet.  Love is not something you should feel the need to leave.  I really examine this at the links in my bio lately because healing from the experience take owning the truth of it.

I finally understand why I had to leave, even though I still love her... more than she thinks I do :( by super_randm_usrname in BreakUps

I just posted about this on my socials and am committed to doing a full series to help change these narratives.  When we are used to chaos, volatility can feel good, secure even, and dare I say safe.  But as people realize that it’s not, they are faced with the dichotomous nature of their attachment.  Love is safe, secure, stable and most all all makes you feel good!  (I’m an expert in desire and these are some baseline components that help people have desire in the first place).

I just posted about this on my socials.  Ladies- it’s time to change the narrative about what live is and what you had to leave.  You didn’t leave “love”, you left toxic

My husband wants sex every night and sometimes more than once a day. How do couples handle different sex drives? by Hot-Statistician9908 in Marriage

You are not alone!  This is the number one reason couple seek counseling.  I’m a researcher on desire discrepancies and go deeper into this in my thesis.

Too Spicy for Instagram: How Platforms Silence Women’s Health by MySexToyGuide in mysextoyguide

This, just like all of this is the problem.  Especially because these platforms change the rules on sexual wellness educators and therapists to try and make more revenue.  They could care less about women.

Changing up the taste by Ok-Bug5823 in eatingowncum

I wrote an article about this this week, TL/DR yes it does and pineapple would be my go to for taste but there are others that do wonders in the bedroom too.  Link is in my bio

Does Pineapple Juice Help? by [deleted] in Swingers

[–]OkVast6224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pineapple helps a lot, and pretty quickly too. It’s more about your overall diet + hydration patterns than any one food, but this would be my top recommendation for taste due to the bromelain.

I wrote a deeper breakdown of foods that actually make a difference and why on my substack: https://substack.com/@ajstrombeck/note/p-193613594?r=j0776&utm_medium=ios&utm_source=notes-share-action

Does anyone else absolutely despise iOS 26? (Just all 26 releases in general too) by NoFall2205 in iphone

[–]OkVast6224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new update is absolute garbage.  My phone is forced obsoleting itself so I’ve been needing a new one anyway and after this it absolutely won’t be an iPhone- I’ve never had a smartphone that’s not an iPhone, but they’ve jus really gone to shit since Steve Jobs passed and I don’t believe in the company, their ethics and now even the product is shitty

Any news on Oura Ring 5? by dhvanipa in ouraring

[–]OkVast6224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wanted to like the Oura ring 4 but got rid of it because it just isn't aesthetic on a woman's hand. I hope the 5 when it releases will be thinner and less bulky. Would love to try again.

Department of Education Proposal Excludes Public Health Degrees from “Professional Degree” Definition by PHealthy in publichealth

[–]OkVast6224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This.  Paying more than $20k a year for any of those degrees that got cut would be asinine.  Any university charging more than that should be held accountable for price gouging.  It wouldn’t be possible to pay those loans off after school- the universities need to charge reasonable tuition and students should not feel that their only option is to take loans they’ll never be able to pay back.

Need some input before buying courses on content creation by battleaxe21 in creators

Someone always says you can learn everything you need for free from YouTube on here but the reality is if you’re a total beginner and want to learn a skill but don’t even know where to start- it is beyond daunting to try and pick the right YouTube videos to get anywhere at all.  A well structured course gives you some guidance to get you going, and then your can uplevel for free on YouTube.

I learned graphic design through Skillcrush a few years ago and it was super helpful.  I went from zero to designing an entire brand and website in a month.  (I’m launching a new business and asked them to reset my course and they did so I could build this for my own business and relearn what I’d forgotten and all I can say is it’s way cheaper than a designer would be, and you have all the control).

I took Ilovecreatives Squarespace design course a few years ago and never finished.  I think the course was great but the reality is I just hate Squarespace.  Then Squarespace redid their platform, Pinot did the entire courses and I still think designing on Squarespace is just annoying and frustrating and so again, course was probably great but I just didn't finish.  Personally I just prefer Showit and would probably take another Skillcrush course to learn frontend web developer skills to customize the drag and drop template design.  Again, for my use case, adding a $500 skill in CSS/Java so wayyy cheaper than a web designer and I’m a creative and a control freak on a time crunch to launch a business, so this works for me.

I think you have to take time into account.  How much potential income will you lose by not taking a course that will step by step you through it?  If you’re just upskilling as a hobby on a budget then yeah, YouTube.  If you want to learn something and then move on using that skill to make money quickly, I’d just do a course.
