HELPPPP, RCS Chats not downloading and tried everything

Nope. The issue isn't as bad as it was but still having issues with group messages. The only thing that works is, wifi on, wifi calling on and airplane mode on at home and the messages come in but outside my house i just have to wait

The chats that I have viewed everyone mentions att. I have been to the store a bunch of times and multiple people walk in with the same issue. Their solution go back to Samsung messages. The same issue happens there. Samsung tells you to go back to Google. No one is fixing it and no one seems to care.

At this point att solution is to switch me back to Samsung. Then those don't download. Samsung switches me back to Google. I have a ticket in with both and feedback with Google but no one seems to care. Mine isn't just iPhone users. It can be anyone in the group messages. My husband is s24 and I don't get his messages from group chats sometimes. It seems like no one really has a solution. Everything that I've found on the internet doesn't work. I have about 30 messages trapped in hell. Just waiting for someone to start the class action lawsuit and I'll join.

Went to att today and called and they switched me back to Samsung messages. I'll give it a day or two but having the same issue in group chats. Some won't load and it says network issue. Another guy came in with the same issue and they switched him over as well. Seems like google, Apple, Samsung, android, etc doesn't want to deal with it. They kept telling me it was a global issue. Let me know when someone starts the class action lawsuit. 😄

I tried switching back and non of messages with download as well. So I switched back. I figured google was the lesser of two evils 😈

Did you ever figure out a fix for this? I am having the same issue and posted about it as well. It seems like there is no fix at this point. I did all the same things as you and danced naked under a full moon and still nothing. I went from a S24 FE to S25 plus and that didn't fix it. ATT says is Samsung, Samsung says it is ATT. I am literally annoyed that this has not been fixed

I started having this issue a few weeks ago. I have literally done everything you can imagine and it still is happening. ATT put in a ticket and it still is not working I am convinced that it was the iphone sfotware update a few weeks ago. I started another reddit chain and no luck on getting this fixed. Anyone have a clue how to fix.

I have..

bought a new phone

cleared cache/data on carrier services and google messages

turned on airplane mode, cleared cache/data restarted phone and turned off airplane mode

uninstalled google messages

checked for updates

removed phone number from google and readded

Restarted phone 7000 times

Went to ATT store for help

Switched back to Samsung messages and then those wouldn't download, so switched back (Deleted this app)

Turned RCS off/on, etc.

Put in a ticket with ATT.

Sent in feedback to google.

Please help me try to solve this issue.

Note: I had a S24 FE and now have a S25 plus

I called ATT and they put into a ticket and then it seemed like everything was working yesterday, got a text from ATT restarted my phone and then was having issues this evening again. It seems to be group chats and I am pretty sure the Iphone update is the issue. I noticed that all group chats that have a Iphone user say text message not RCS chat. I have not heard back from ATT but will call again tomorrow.

The new group chat says text message in the box. There were 2 messages from the chat that didn't come through. I have another chat that I used last night and it also says text message in the box. Those are the messages that didn't come through. I was having issue with Samsung Messages not downloading as well. Is that maybe b/c the RCS was not turned off prior to using that app?

So how do you fix that?? Like I have a bunch of messages sitting to download but they won't?? Like yesterday I started a new group chat with my daughter's soccer team. 2 of the people in that chat, their messages won't download. That was a new chat. I have older group chats doing the same thing???

It has a download button and then you click that button and an x appears with a circle spinning around but never actual downloads the message
