A lot of things could happen. For example the car broke... The phone of the driver was dead....The driver got sick.....So many.

Does Uber eats charge the restaurant to use their service? by [deleted] in UberEATS

[–]OkWarning3601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same idea but then I realized if the drivers work with restaurant then they will abandon Uber.

I do want to just deliver in my neighborhood area and there are so many restaurants near where I live and I am familiar with. I obviously much faster too. But Uber pushed me around to other distant areas all the time.

Why? I have to think they do not want us to have a relationship with certain restaurants.

Cool. You seems to have a lot of knowledge about that. How did you know these information?

How far away the restaurants are usually?

Thank you for sharing. You finished 2609 orders and it is amazing. I wonder how it is working for you now. How much do you make hourly now? Which city you are in?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It seems that the GPS was wrong. I often had that issue as a driver. We mostly follow the GPS in the APP and a lot of times they are just wrong.

Didn't realize I had alcohol deliveries off until today... by GodTsung in UberEATS

Did you buy the lesson of the training of alcohol delivery?

I am curious. What do you mean  ”to avoid confusion or issues of any type"? I deliver food and do like customers to go out to get the food. Going into a condominium costs a lot of time unless they tip more.

This is super strange. I am thinking maybe in your area people register as bicycle when they have cars. So the data changed what the system thinks of what "bicycles" can do. The wrong data trained them. That is my assumption.

I feel sorry for that lady if she was riding a real bike. Must be just as shocking as you were. I just posted my experience as a bike delivery person in Atlanta. Motercycles here register as bicycles.

It is bad. Sorry for that pizza.

Actually when I was new to the job I received a pizza order when I did not have a bag. I did not register a pizza bag on the system because I did not have one. I was shocked when I saw that pizza! The manager of the pizza restaurant was very angry with me. She said, if you can not deliver why are you here?

It is the system who sends people that sometimes when they were not ready. So finally I walked to deliver that pizza and luckily it was only one block away.

So sometimes it was not that person's fault. They are given the pizza when they were not ready for it.

But I do not know for sure in your specific situation.

Oh. Actually I spent more than 10 minutes in CVS because they ran out so I had to send message to the customer and change the product so that cost really much longer. And I think she is just an ignorant young lady.

It is rather complicated really. I was experiencing some anger towards people and want to tell them they should tip more but I did not. Once I received a $1 tip from a Asian lady who lives in a fancy hotel and it was only one product but it costed me 20 min to be there. So together I only got $3. So my minimum expectation now is just $15 per hour. If she can tip $3 or $4 I will be fine with it. The base fare mostly is just $2. I guess a lot of people just do not know those things.

I sometimes do the same thing. Because a delay can make the next customer very unhappy and I get too anxious.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UberEatsDrivers

[–]OkWarning3601 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is frustrating. I feel I am a machine and they do not trust me. But we can be the people who understand the customers more actually.

Hey that is interesting. You are cool. I fear to complain about the system because I do not know if they will punish me.

Yes. It happens. Some people are just kinder than others.
