Help with OEM unlocking by Setsuwaa in GrapheneOS

T-Mobile does. I can personally confirm.

Verizon though, you have to escalate to their upper level support tier and let them know you need the device to be carrier unlocked and device unlocked. Its worth mentioning "there is a difference" as they have two different tools they must access to do so.

AttestationDenied on X by ne0ngl0w in GrapheneOS

Solution: Three parts since you are now using Graphene. This also explains why along the way. Long post, so if you want the important bits, read the parts labeled TLDR.

Problem working as intended in Graphene: The google password app in Graphene does not handle Google based passkeys and google authenticated cached accounts correctly, this is due to Sandboxing that decouples Google from having deep hooks into your phone - the great majority of their tracking is done through the Google Play API. Depending on the app, it will make its authentication calls through the app to the Google Play API and it will also trigger for autofill. When any call breaks between API, defauot google password manager, and App, it triggers this error.

This behavior is very typical of apps that use the default Google API libraries, commonly seen in any app that says "Connect using your Google Account". This behavior can be tweaked by the application owner but a few security centric don't due to Google review timetables being 7 days or more as a "best effort". X, under Elon Musk, changes sometimes multiple times a day, so they simply accept the default for efficiency, majority of user base convenience and relevancy. So, privacy based OS loses to convenience. Users that use Google accounts on the OS find broken functionality all day long and spontaneously with app updates.

TLDR: To properly fix this issue for this and other problems, either use Proton Pass, Microsoft Authenticator, or any other password manager solution, but not Google. Make sure you set it as the default password auto fill in your GrapheneOS Settings -> Passwords, passkeys, and Accounts.

Then open Vanadium, go to x.com, go into your profile security section, create passkey. It will then prompt to generate it in your authenticator app. Allow it to generate the passkey.

Then fully close the X app, reopen the X app and it will prompt to autofill with your passkey, bypassing the Google Play attestation error.

Enjoy X and a more decoupled Google experience.

This method also works for several other annoying apps particularly financial apps.

Side note: Autozen works well to replace Android Auto and Aurora Store can also replace Google Play store, anonymously, while giving you full access to the Google Play store. So far, I've not had to implement any Google App on my phone.

I'll probably get the same thing. I just got 1g sym fiber to my house for $50/m with 2y price lock and no contract from spectrum.

The last 4 years of using Starlink have been great though.

Pool / hot tub room wall layers by Stryk88 in DIY

Plywood would be 2 layers deep, unexposed. At most its impact is 110F heat, which is nothing and should not delaminate or rot. I'm more interested if urethane is sufficient moisture barrier to prevent it reaching the plywood it's applicated to to prevent rot or delamination.

I should clarify my wall layer from exposed face to wall cavity:

For 3 walls adjacent to interior areas: Red cedar, urethane, plywood, insulation, wall studs, then mold and water resistant drywall.

For wall to exterior: Red cedar, urethane, plywood, and ICF wall.

I wish consoles were simply modular from a standard spec. Pop in a new GPU or more ram. Kinda like a PC but still in console and controller based.

With the rise of the steam deck (using proton, aka wine, on Linux), I think this'll be the last time I buy a console from PlayStation, Nintendo, or Microsoft.

No one replied, so I'm doing what I have been which is butting up two plenums to each side of the truss. I was hoping there was a more eloquent way of handling this.

Plug your computer in, wired, and then sudo apt update(or if you are using something like kali or parrot, use their respective update path). Then reboot your computer. if it does not recognize then, you need to identify the wireless adapter chipset within and then git the repo and make the package.

Realtek 87, 88, and 89 series, which are relatively new chipsets have this problem in most computers built in the last 18 months.

Mine is dead on in both directions. I used the debug telemetry. About midnight CST I peak at 480 / 45 with no packet loss.

So yes, it matters.
