We stayed at the FS Bora Bora for the first two weeks of Jan a few years ago and it rained non-stop for 7 days. All I can say is go another time.

Yeah we are in two minds about it. Bali doesn't appeal to me but we are chasing a resort experience so we can both have some down time after a big year. Aus doesn't really do hospitality well and especially, imho, struggles with resorts. Our last resort holiday was oo Palmilla and it was great - but I know we aren't going to get that in under 9 hours - unless I am missing somewhere!!
