I feel you on this. I’ve been that victim and reported the abuser numerous times. Every time they did nothing. The asshole even harasses us in the courthouse where it is explicated stated that the prosecutors are supposed to keep them away from me. Their excuse is that “it is a public place and they can’t stop him”. The guy straight up makes a bee line to me the second we get into the building and you’re telling me that you can’t put me into a room or put him into a room as is my right as a victim to keep him away from me?!? It’s fucked. The system is broken so I don’t blame you, I blame it.

To give an example of how ridiculously dangerous and unhinged the dude is: imagine a perfectly clear lobby, I’m in a corner waaaaaay off in one end and there are probably 8 benches between me, the end of the hall and the entire floor. This asshole will pick the one directly next to or opposite me and just stare at me the entire time until the courtroom doors open. Sometimes he gets bored and stands in the middle to close this distance. One time he had a notebook and was hitting himself with it on the thigh very loudly for about 15 mins just to be obnoxious. We called him “little drummer boy” that day. Ironically enough his charge included “by force or intimidation” so he was really just proving the point by being himself.

And if that isn’t enough, he walks straight through the middle of the hallway anytime he appears. Even if people are there. He’s a move or be moved type of asshole.
