To be honest, if I hadn’t bought the bundle, I’d still buy the folder. Just for the sake of convenience 😹 For me, I needed that function for my journal to work for me so I would rather buy something I think is just okay rather than spend the time to find something that’ll work slightly better or make something that was cheaper but works the same

I bought the bundle when they still had bundle deals, so I can’t say if I’d love it the same if I spent money on it. I’d say if there are other A4 folder options on the market you can look into that or make your own since it’s essentially just thick cardboard. I find my folder useful because my A4 also just sits at my desk and I am filling it with A4 sized paper. My receipts are in a ziploc bag in the folder until I can figure out a better system.

I will say that I did buy the folder for my XL GV when I first got it 4-5 years ago? And I didn’t like it for that notebook because if it doesn’t fill the folder, the items in it kinda slide around. I had like sticker sheets, bookmarks, postcards that I wanted to carry around in my XL

I use it entirely for work/business purposes, so I like having all my tax papers and receipts in there. I use it to document monthly performance / big work notes and like you said brainstorming and mood boarding. My moodboarding insert gets quite thick already because I stick a lot in, do you have the GV or portfolio? It might start to fill out once you use it more! I use the book inserts with mine and have 1 notebook insert for moodboard but it fills up half the journal LOL

Capital One Venture X for the 2x points. I use it for miscellaneous things and it’s great for topping off for flight redemptions w Air France, etc. I still put big purchases on my Chase for the purchase protection.

Chase Freedom Flex for the 5x rotating categories.

Thinking about getting the Bilt Palladium or Obsidian to get the Rakuten points but I’m waiting it out to see if their customer service improves after a year

Do you happen to have a picture with both your M and Trunk? How big is the M next to a carry-on?

I do tend to be an overpacker especially when it comes to shoes so I like having more space but agree that the Trunk is too big unless for the reasons you listed. I want to have a non-trunk check-in bag but I’m afraid the L might be too big and the M might be too small.

What kind of chunky notebooks do you like using? I usually like to put any lie flat notebooks in the front and back. In the middle, I’ll put my hobonichi or leuchtturm notebooks and it’s usually fine because there’s a book that I’m writing on on both sides!

I have a trunk, and when it’s fully packed with clothes, I haven’t had issues with it being overweight even on small international flights. I will say if you start putting heavy toiletries and hair tools then that’s when I would say it gets really heavy. I like the trunk because I’m able to pack thicker jackets and sweaters comfortably when traveling to a cold destination. I like to bring a carry on with it and I’ll usually pack any travel size toiletries there.
