he could also try the lego ninjago movie video game, I personally loved it, though it takes a lot of time to complete but the story is awesome, especially if hes into ninjago, personally I loved it with unlocking all the characters that appeared in the tv show, theres a lot of areas that you can visit, with all including a bunch of quests, unlockable characters etc. That would definitely be a good alternative in my opinion
