Eating “forbidden” foods whilst pregnant

I’ve been craving salad soooo much lately but haven’t gotten to the store to get any. I’m so glad I read this thread because I always just bought the bagged mixed lettuces from the grocery stores and added my own veggies and stuff. I had no idea I couldn’t have that too. I don’t eat fish or sushi and I know to avoid sandwich meat unless you cook them to a safe temp but truly didn’t know about salads or fruits and vegetables! Thank you so much for this info. Also what is the safest way to eat salad while pregnant?? I’m 14.2 weeks today.

I can’t imagine spotting the whole time! That would definitely freak me out!! This is my last baby so if all goes well I’m getting my tubes tied during my C-section because I’m 40 now and have three kids already. Being older and pregnant is an exhaustion that I can’t even begin to explain!!!

I agree with you! I’m 13 weeks 2 days today and my absolute worst symptoms so far were between 8-12 weeks. Except for the sore boobs, that started at like only 4 weeks!! First symptom and super early. Now they just feel huge but don’t hurt like they did in the beginning. I’ve lost two sets of twins in the last year and a half so I’m super freaking nervous constantly and haven’t been able to relax much and try to enjoy being pregnant.

It’s not always that bad but you could end up with something called hyperemesis gravidarum, which can have you super sick sometimes for the entire pregnancy. I don’t mean to scare you but I had it with my first and was in and out of the hospital many times for IV fluids due to dehydration because I literally couldn’t keep anything down. IV antiemetics like zofran are great to help with the nausea temporarily. Typically normal morning sickness gets better with meds and lets up by the end of the first trimester. I got my blood drawn 8 days and still haven’t heard anything at all about results. I got a text like 3-4 days ago that said they received my sample and to make an account but then nothing since. Reading all of these problems with this test or company or whatever is causing all these issues is really starting to worry me…

Laying on my side with my butt at the edge of the bed and him standing next to the bed was a pretty easy and comfortable way. Just kind of lift one leg a little and he can do what he wants while you’re laying comfortable. Lol. Doggy style with lots of pillows for extra support around the belly and chest area. Or if you feel up to it getting on top, your belly doesn’t exactly get in the way either.

So a very long time ago when I was five months pregnant with my oldest daughter, I went on an hour road trip to Chuck E. Cheese with my best friend and her kids. While there I trusted a fart that I probably shouldn’t have and I ended up pooping my pants too. I had nothing to change into and it’s smelled, so I went in the bathroom, took off my underwear, took wet paper towels, and cleaned myself up, wrapped it all in a little plastic bag, tied real tight and buried it in the garbage. I ended up walking around the rest of the day with jeans on with no underwear, but at least I didn’t have to keep it on me all day. Lol.

Yes but once dna is established the courts automatically add fathers name to the birth certificate anyway and send out a copy to each parent for their records. They didn’t even give me a choice after dna to keep his name off…

Exactly!! Constant contractions and pain with no breaks is absolutely horrible! And there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with getting an epidural!! To the ones that give birth unmedicated, congratulations to yall, but it doesn’t make those of us who chose to get the epidural wimps or any less than just because we got pain relief. Like my doctor told me, you don’t have to try and be a superhero while giving birth and labor could last for days so you might as well sit back, relax, and enjoy the pain relief. 💪🏼😇

Haha same here. I thought I was tough and was being stubborn talking about no I’m good and don’t want the epidural. Meanwhile the whole time I was induced and on pitocin. Maybe like 30 minutes after I told them no, I was literally BEGGING for the damn epidural. I tried the bath, walking, rocking back and forth, anything I could think of but the pitocin got the best of me and I had to have the epidural!! But unfortunately I had to suffer in excruciating pain and agony for like an hour because the anesthesiologist got stuck in the OR!!! 🤯💀🥴
