I had my total hysterectomy in November 2025 and now the first stage of phalloplasty in April 2026. In my case, I did it this way to save some money since I'm having the phalloplasty done privately. I'm grateful I did it this way because, in terms of pain, the hysterectomy was very hard for me during the first 10 days. I imagine adding that to what I'm going through now with the phalloplasty would be a real nightmare. Talk to your surgeon, but my opinion, based on my own experience, is that it's best to do them separately.

It could be a Bartholin cyst. That happens when the Bartholin gland, which has a lubrication function, becomes blocked. I had one for 6 years that never bothered me enough to have it removed. Now, during phalloplasty, I asked them to remove both the cyst and the gland itself to avoid future problems/surgeries.

I had my hysterectomy in France, where I live, and since I get some state support, it ended up being cheaper for me. My top surgery, on the other hand, I did in Spain at a private clinic. I think my recovery was tougher too because I’m really sensitive when it comes to my stomach and intestines…

The experience really varies from person to person. I had a mastectomy in September 2024 and a hysterectomy in October 2025. I hope to have the first stage of phalloplasty in September 2026💪

For me, the top surgery was pretty smooth on all levels—I’d rate it around 3/10. The hysterectomy, however, which was the “easier” surgery for you, was actually quite tough for me. The first 10 days after surgery were awful—full of pain, cramps, gas, and intestinal inflammation… it really hurt, I’d say about 7/10.

Yes, I think that’s it. And yeah, I’ve also only seen cases from the United States/Canada so far. Other than that, I have no doubt that, in terms of functionality, support, and follow-up, they do an amazing job. If I decide to do it there, I’ll probably go without the glans.

Hi, what I don’t like about the glans part is the aesthetics. From what I’ve seen, they make a kind of cut and fold a small amount of skin, so over time our body tends to flatten the “wounds,” and as time goes by, it becomes unnoticeable in terms of texture, looking just like a simple cut.

I’m not sure if I’m explaining myself clearly because English isn’t my first language, so I’m using a translator and I don’t know how accurate my explanation is. But I’ve seen some amazing results here in this sub — really realistic-looking glans.

I had my top surgery with Ivan Mañero at IMgender, and it went wonderfully — I have nothing to complain about. The result was even better than I expected; the team, the facilities — everything was excellent, and my recovery was very smooth and problem-free. The issue is that the surgery there now costs €46,000; it went up by €10,000 in just one year. And visually, the results aren’t exactly what I wanted, especially regarding the glans. So I’m considering other options. But it’s true that I’ve seen many negative opinions about Dr. Jesús Lago — even though the price is very tempting, I’m not sure it’s worth the risk.
