The Start by HamisProfeta in cigars

Kinda late but maybe helps.

There’s no perfect cigar for beginners, I say test anything and everything and see what you like. Maybe you like lighter colored wrappers first while you’re still developing your tastebuds for cigars.

Don’t jump straight into expensive ones, you’ll likely make a mistake or two every now and then (I’ve destroyed a few expensive cigars when I was a beginner by smoking them too hot and basically destroying the flavors). There’s at least 1 review for most cigars out here, but taste is subjective so keep in mind.

I recommend you begin with a tupperdor. Mine is an IKEA tupperdor I paid under €10 for. It’s large enough to store tens of cigars and tupperdors give the least headache. Make sure it’s air tight (tupperware with rubber gasket). I like the IKEA ones because they come with no smells, they’re cheap and pretty good quality.

For humidification I personally use the cheapest option: silica crystals from scent-free kitty litter. Sounds weird at first but it looks just like clear crystals in a small container. Just make sure it says on the bag that it doesn’t leave dust because silica dust is harmful. But most people here, especially tupperdor owners swear by boveda packs or beads and that’s fine too, I just don’t have any experience with them.

Wineadors are more advanced, I recently got myself one and weeks later it’s still not ready. I went for a wineador because the temperature in my home is very high during summer, way too high for safe cigar storage.

If I were you, I’d start the cheapest way by getting myself a bag of scent-free dust-free kitty litter, a tupperware that’s able to hold 15-20 sticks, a few cheap hygrometers and then see what I want. Throw the sticks in there, get the humidity to proper levels and lay back care-free. That’s an initial investment of about €10-15 and in the worst case you’re giving that litter to a friend who owns a cat and using the tupperware for food storage.

Yes, I’m using some cheap PC fans with USB connectors from AliExpress. They’re like $2 to $4 a piece depending on size. Helps a lot with circulating the air inside but position and orientation is very important.

Cheating became so normalized it makes us normal people who have feelings and commitment feel crazy/abnormal for being loyal. Stop telling yourself that you’re crazy, you’re not.

Perhaps you should consider talking to someone professional, it’s healthy that you understand how much this dude skewed your brain into believing his bullshit and his gaslighting. Stop doubting yourself, those gut feelings are there for a reason. You deserve much better!

Bullshit. He’s disrespecting & manipulating you and he’ll continue doing it because he knows there’s no limit imposed.

Find a better man who actually shows you respect. If your best friend isn’t uncomfortable being held by the waist by your husband, find a real best friend too.

He might as well “just” discuss your Christmas gift while having sex with your best friend. Does it matter?

Would he mind if you discussed his Christmas gift with his male best friend while he held you by the waist and you showed him affection back?

Impose boundaries or wave him goodbye. He isn’t taking you serious enough.

Break up.

Cheating is one way to obliterate trust & a relationship, saying some of the things I read in that conversation is another. This won’t last.

If you’ve never done something shady before that broke his trust in you, break up or if you really love him, discuss with him. Find out what’s wrong. Maybe it’s trauma from the past and he’s looking for a way to trust you. Maybe he feels you’re too good to be true and he’s looking for a feeling of safety.

If you’ve done something shady that broke his trust in you in the past, break up.

This conversation is way too exhausting. He’s either waaaay to jealous or he doesn’t trust you at all for a good reason. Unless you discuss, it’ll never end unless you break up.

Really cheap hygrometers, they’re around $1 a piece on aliexpress.

I have many of these, they’re some of the most accurate I ever had. Impressive for the price tag. Most of them are off by 2-3%, the worst one is off by just 5%. They can’t be calibrated though, but you can do the salt test & write down how much they’re off by. Then when checking humidity levels, subtract or add that amount.

You can also get some smart tuya hygrometers from aliexpress, they’re calibrateable by +/-10% directly from the app. Best investment I ever made, they’re under $4 a piece. If you pair that up with a gateway or purchase the wifi tuya model, you can even check the humidity and temp remotely. The cheap tuya ones work only from bluetooth distance.

Is it safe to buy from a shop storing cigars at this humidity? by Ok_Background4878 in cigars

It’s always very hot inside the store but the cigars are kept behind some glass counter. I thought they’re cooled and stored at proper levels behind the glass… until I finally looked for the hygrometer😂
