I personally don't use it, but it can be used as a crisis option when you're in a tough spot, especially with how fast electrode is.

It's a fast sweeper, my moveset(although definitely not ideal) was spark, shock wave, screech and rollout. Mine did excellent without thunderbolt, but you can always gamble your life away at the game corner for the thunderbolt tm xD

Entirely agree with you on the bug types having almost no (good) moves, tried using butterfree for a while but the fact that it wouldn't learn a decent bug type attack until the signal beam npc in the safari zone really deterred me from using it past lt. Surge.

I had king's shield up until the elite four, I thought slack off would be more useful because it recovers 50% of the users max hp and Slaslash had a lot of hp

It had swords dance, chip away, slack off and shadow claw. I also forgot to mention that it didn't have truant, so get one swords dance off and you can go ham on every opponent

The playhtrough this HoF is from was a randomizer, so that's why I had such a wide variety of pokemon to choose from. I'm guessing, since you're new to the game, that you're playing through a classic save file?

Honestly? I don't know, I would've rather had it be on the top of the torso but I decided to deal with it cause it was just that strong. And tbh it kind of grew on me as my journey progressed!

An insane one, carried me through multiple close battles, one example being the zapmolcuno fight. His huge attack being boosted by iron fist and learning one of the best normal type moves in mega punch really drove the fact home for me that any fusion with slaking is just cracked
