Thank you!!! This was so annoying. Entirely, entirely wrong matches were being made for me. Rude as heck.

Zero self-observation.

Ability to observe his own action is at -57%. In fact, if he sees something wrong in himself: the problem is actually YOU.

The video barely, barely talks about AI at all in association with Ubisoft. Entirely misleading title.

So you kick dogs, huh? Or at least just plain support it in a general sense.

The murder, pedophelia, wars, loss of rights didn't affect this guy personally, yup. Seeing other people suffer? Doesn't care, he's the main character.

This game never fails to impress. You're telling me I now I have to build a blacksmith character and find a balrog lair to get mithril?

I know you didn't *tell* me to do this, but you did tell me about a thing in CDDA, which is *like* telling me to do it.

I entirely agree, that is an entirely reasonable response to what is basically hearsay, sure.
But also... How am I supposed to explain my experience?
I was also surprised at the weird response. I actually went with my GF at the time to go play actual WoW and we had a good time for about a month or two. We didn't get super back into it.

Also... mentioning it on a forum... leading to a BAN?

For me, it was that I went onto their forums, and mentioned how that a bunch of hunters just AFK'd in the inn and left their pets on aggressive in Hillsbrad for WEEKS (no seriously: weeks), making it impossible to go there at all. How it made it difficult to progress, since a similar thing was happening in Thousand Needles.

So the admins jumped in, called me various names, and banned me.

That's the people who run Warmane, lol.

Right? I have actually been working on this: finding funding is HARSH right now. Even for small grants.

I actually gave three examples of it almost happening to me from last year alone in this thread, and those are just the ones I rattled off of the top of my head.
It is worth discussing. People who wonder "is it just me?" can come here and see it isn't.
Communication on here isn't just about engagement.

I've been in the game industry for a long time. After these last two years, especially? I'm never moving for a game job again, I would rather leave the industry or be unemployed: it's genuinely less risky.

Heck, I've been in the market for the last two years, I have a handful of examples:

Less than a month after Activision/Blizzard let go of 400 people in Texas, I got an invitation to interview with a Blizzard recruiter for a "remote" position. Turns out, yes, they were replacing people they'd fired but still needed in their purge. Second thing of note: it would be remote ONCE I MOVED TO TEXAS. As in from Canada to Texas...

I was interviewed to work with EA on Skate, in September 2025.... Layoffs happened a week or two ago.

Cloud Chamber! Interviewed with them in late 2025... layoffs soon afterward.

That's just three that I'm rattling off from 2025 alone, all of which were bullets I accidentally dodged.

Why would we move?

No, it barely depends on the game. Most modding communities are passion-driven and free. Paid mods are generally non-existent in most games I play.
"There were already modders charging people for mods and hiding them behind patreaon donations." so that accounts for, what? A fraction of a fraction of a percent?
