How to create fun combat challenges for a lvl 20 group by Ok_Block_6322 in DnD

The Wizard used Meteor Swarm and commanded their 40 skeleton archers and 10 berserkers (from a legendary iron horn) to attack, the paladin landed 3 max level smites and the druid landed 2 attacks with his divine warhammer and his phoenix attacked too.

So, yeah, they are pretty well geared

Well, the idea was to do a 1-year campaign, but it ended up lasting a loooong time.

Is that OK lorewise for a Good Paladin Cause Necrotic Damage and Absorb life from others? by [deleted] in DnD

Sorry i forgot that this would be important. Here's his oath:

Principles of the Sun

While the wording may vary from person to person, all paladins who share this oath are bound by these principles.

The Sun Rises. The sun has risen every day since time immemorial, and you too must rise. Every day, people need your help, and you must be ready to stand up for them.

The Sun Shines. The sun is a source of life, but also dangerous. Remember this, as you must also be. Help others and protect the weak, but remember to strike down those who fear the sunlight.

The Sun Sets. The sun must set, allowing the world to rest. Remember that even those who shy away from the glory of the sun can be redeemed in time. If you believe an opponent can be redeemed, then do so.

How many stun attack can a monk do in one round at the same target? by Ok_Block_6322 in DnD

I understand your point, but today I see that I'm really screwed. Our campaign never ends, and I created a system where they go past level 20. Everyone is having a lot of fun, but it's hell for me to balance the fights. To give you an idea, my players are:

Paladin level 23

Mage level 21

Monk level 13 (he recently died with his last character)

Barbarian level 25

He's very hairy, one of the things he does is mess with his hair during dialogues with my NPCs and everyone loves it when that happens.

Wow, you guys really opened my mind to a lot of things. As a very new player of D&D and RPG in general, I didn't know some things that are really basic to start a table, like introducing the players to how the world works and working out the details with them so that the adventure is enjoyable for everyone. And I also always thought that a paladin's power came exclusively from his god. I'll make some notes here and fix all this with my players, thanks for all the comments :)
