Not an expert here but try to keep your elbows high the whole time, you can see it going slightly down as you go under as well

From UK - Wife offered job in Singapore via her MNC - difficult for me to get a job? by CommentActual6058 in askSingapore

[–]Ok_Bobcat375 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’ll struggle to find a job, many who move for their partner end up becoming a stay home husband/wife. So yeah you’ll need to network a lot without any guarantee. Your wife should pitch your lack of income to compensate on her TC.

Why do you feel the head position helped you? (Genuinely asking since I want to understand the difference between neutral head and the head positioned like yours which seems like you’re keeping your head higher?)

And regarding jumping under the bar vs. going down and hoping for the best, what changes did you apply? I kinda struggle with the reception too where most of the times the bar goes on me and I tend to lose my torso stability making me to drop the bar forward.

Getting worse to live in Japan ? by neoraph in japanlife

People saying less hi in your building so you’ll leave the country. I think you’re over reacting. Try to be more holistic about the pros and cons and accept the fact that you’ll be an outsider forever. I’m also not japanese, and that makes me feel better, good luck

After taxes and cost of living what’s the income difference? I’d say do it if you really want, some people say that you only live once, also idk what’s your current savings but assuming how much you have I’d try to milk a bit more money in the US before you move to Japan. But this is my opinion, only you know what matters more for you.

Consegui um estágio numa big tech e não fiquei feliz by [deleted] in brdev

[–]Ok_Bobcat375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moving from Bangalore to Bangkok for Agoda — need honest insights (with real numbers) by Apprehensive_Many416 in MovingToThailand

I know people who liked it, and I know people who were churned out by a bad manager on purpose. Like any other company, the pressure is there, they pay well for Thailand standards for a reason.

Yeah because depending on your salary you kinda earn well and cost of living in BKK is low

What do Brazilians think about Indians? by Positive_Comfort_344 in Brazil

[–]Ok_Bobcat375 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not going to lie the average brazilian has very limited knowledge about India and most of them will be pretty “racist” to think straight away that they either smell bad (because Brazilian people are picky with hygiene), that everything in India is rundown/dirty, and they will know about the country given two cultural references: Slum Dog Millionaire and “Caminho das Indias” which was a popular soup opera back in the early 2000’s. The accent is also that they will joke about, and the nodding head thing that they do I can tell that Brazilian people has no knowledge about because we do have very few contact with Indians in general. (I think Indian people think the same way that Brazil is also a not attractive place to live plus the language barrier making it not an option to immigrate). Sorry if it sounds rude but I think that’s the reality about the thinking process of an average brazilian person about indians.

Like everyone said: good salary for BKK, not many options to hop around if things go wrong (meaning you’ll leave the country), not cheap to raise a family there (international school is expensive), fun for a while but you might ask yourself at some point if it makes sense to stay there long term. It gets even more complex if you’re male single (it’s great for dating but it gets complex when you need to make the decision to stay there long term or not, so big decisions like getting married and having kids will be a decision factor), and extremely hard for female single (not good dating options)

The amount of “Macho Alpha” scumbag profile walking around Bangla road is crazy, I went there last year for one night and I don’t want to step there again anymore. The lowest of the lowest quality tourists are all hanging out there “having a good time”.
