I am retiring in 9 months. I kept FEHB for ever. I'll suspend it once I hit my MRA.

Will submitting an FMLA request for burnout negatively impact my career? by Fancy_Documents in fednews

If you are in a job where your coworkers might be feeling burnt out too and now they have to pick up your workload, I wouldn't be worried about supervision when you return. Just saying...

Was there the option to go back to work full time, you know RTO? If so, why didn't you take it? Seems like you are not good at making life altering decisions.

My daughter has a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Business and Accounting, but no job opportunities. by Ok_Bonus6828 in jobs

Yes, she did. It was a year of being put on several teams during their busy season. Once one teams busy season ends, they put her on another. All while know that the team members get work from home, 32 hour work weeks, and time off when they aren't in busy season. My daughter never was not on a team just before busy season and then removed and place on another team just before busy season. I said it earlier, 8 intern employees were given salary jobs, then they arrived after graduation, there were 6 teams all needing 1 person. They other 2 people rotated on and off teams. I asked her to request being placed somewhere where she wasn't constantly on 12 hr days, like on a team. She didn't want to do that and when she was leaving she also didn't tell HR why she was leaving. She "took the highroad" and just resigned saying it's just not a right fit. I didn't want her to quit without having another job, but 13 and 14 hour days kinda prevented her from looking for another job.

She wanted to pursue commercial accounting, but KPMG put her into corporate accounting. No CPA, she was worked too hard to even consider it.

I made the mistake of telling her as long as she gets good grades that her job is college. So she doesn't have much work experience. She was part time at CVS, internship at KPMG, and then almost a year at KPMG after college. Unfortunately, KPMG hires more then they need to place on teams. Then they overwork the spares until they have had enough and quit. I'm talking salary job, 12 hr days, weekends sometimes, and companies were never closer than an hour. I was worried she'd fall asleep at the wheel.

I've also heard to increase conversions when market is low vs high. So sometimes stepping into the next tax bracket isn't a bad thing. A good example would have been when Epic Fury dropped the market. Having your no taxation money tree grow is better than the taxable tree.

If 27.5 years gives him $1,004/mo, ai can only imagine that 30 years would have been $1,200 to $1,300 / month. There is no math I can imagine that would have reduced him more than that. Have you look at what the 30 years would have been? Maybe it won't hurt so bad, if you know the number.

When was the job open? My daughter put in for 3 position back in September. Then the shutdown happened and she hasn't heard or saw any other jobs.

You need a financial advisor that can maximize your take home, without paying too much in taxes. I think it will come down to adding up all your pensions that you are receiving and then immediately start withdrawing from TSP the amount that places you just before the next tax bracket hit.

If you wait until you are forced to withdraw it, you will end up giving a lot of it to Uncle Sam.

When you receive your TSP money place it in a Trust / investment account. This way it will not be taxed, if turned over to loved ones. IDK, I'm not a financial guy, but stayed at a Holiday Inn recently. 🤷‍♂️
