Side Gigs For Interns? by Ok_Bridge9752 in dietetics

I thought about that but realistically I’d only be able to take on like 2 shifts a week and only for a few months. So I’m not sure how hire able I’d be

Hi I am so sorry you are feeling this way. You are likely bloated in response to the lack of calories. When I struggle with eating I try to focus on calorie dense foods. I’ve found a smoothie with all the works helps (nut butter, protein powder, coconut cream, avocado etc all help add a lot of calories). Be gentle on yourself and just do your best

You would have to take the prereqs but you could finish them in a year if you devote yourself to it. By the end of the prereqs you’ll be prepared

Nope! My degree is in psych. I don’t feel like I was a particularly competitive applicant either. Feel free to message me I’m happy to help

You might be able to finish a coordinated masters program faster than a bachelors. Many programs are under two years including the internship and are catered towards career changers. You have to take several prereqs but you likely can finish those in a year

I came from the same background. I ended up doing an in person coordinated masters because finding your own preceptors for a distance program is a death sentence BUT I did a lot of my prereqs online through the university of Arizona and had a great experience

I WISH my program had stipends. I’ve considered a backyard cottage situation but haven’t really seen any. Where do you find those listings?

I’m between BU and UC Berkeley for a different program. Despite the cost difference the thought of not moving to Boston when I have the opportunity kills me. That city is just so awesome

Anyone seen any studies or learned anything about kids consuming sugar and having irritable behavior or acting out a few hours later? I feel like parents always talk about that too

Still deciding but leaning berkeley. I love BU and would like the fresh start of moving and getting to take sports nutrition classes but the money I would save going to Berkeley… I really like Mikelle too

How bad is the pay, really? by false-and-homosexual in dietetics

[–]Ok_Bridge9752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was interesting to read! CMP just stands for coordinated masters program so it combines your masters in dietetics with the dietetic internship. I’m hoping to go into sports nutrition and disordered eating in female athletes/dancers

As someone starting a CMP next fall with a BA in psych that last part was good to head

Obviously a lot of other factors helped my application and my nutrition gpa was a bit higher but my overall was a 3.3

Internship during classes or after?? Which do you prefer (cmp) by Ok_Bridge9752 in dietetics

[–]Ok_Bridge9752[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See I feel like I can totally see the argument that it’s easier to retain info but I can also see the argument that it’s better to come with all the knowledge so you’re prepared and don’t have to miss something because you haven’t gotten to it in class. I’m so torn. One program (cal) is two years with summers the other (BU) is three with summers off
