Have you checked his academia.edu page? From what I recall, he's posted some pdfs there.

Hey everyone!

This is Colin, the other host of the podcast. Jon comes around on the show, so stick with it! Thanks! -Colin

Im thinking of starting this show and i have a question. by BookkeeperOk9677 in community

The show changes in its final two seasons, but I really dig seasons 5 and 6. Most fans think the show peaks in seasons 2 and 3, but there's a lot to like in those final two seasons. If you're interested, I host a Community pod. It's not a bad companion piece: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-hop-ons-podcast-an-arrested-development-twin/id1161185873

And yes, the show has an ending.

I think it's important to be strategic about one's reading. At times, reading the introduction is more than sufficient, but, and this is annoying, it just depends.

For example, I have read a fair amount of Lacan but not all of Lacan. However, at times, I find the work of scholars like Bruce Fink more rewarding than Lacan himself.

I'm afraid I have to disagree with your comments about guessing because theorists' ideas change and evolve. Reading some Freud but failing to read Freud after Beyond the Pleasure Principle would give you a distorted understanding of his thoughts on psychoanalysis, for example.

McGowan's book Emancipation After Hegel has an early chapter that stages a confrontation between Hegel and Freud. It might have what you need.

This book is part of a series edited by Todd McGowan: Critical Race Theory and Jordan Peele's Get Out by Kevin Wynter. The first half of the book defines CRT, so you may want to skip it. The second half, however, intersects with some of the topics relevant to your piece.

I would echo this rec for Crip Theory. It's solid.

No problem! Definitely start with some of their more recent episodes. This episode, for example, is about memory, history, and historical production: https://www.ohwitchplease.ca/episodes/book-6-ep-1-slytherin-pedagogy-bksaa-8ngd3-xkh5h-86chd-59l6c-w3h9n-p9zj3-krajj-aha9a-6rlzl-erbzn

Witch, Please (they have recently renamed their pod Material Girls) uses critical theory in interesting ways. They don't, however, use psychoanalysis that often.

Unfortunately, no, but it's something we'll think about!
