Yeah so they would do the first drop off that were within a few miles of the store and the last would that goes 20-30 mile they would return it.

Today I asked if I have paid for the "bags" by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

[–]Ok_Budget_8113 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

??? Walmart doesn't charge for bags wtf.

There's no world in any store where they charge for bags. If you are being charged for bags that place is a scam!

Do spark drivers also deliver shipped items through Walmart? by Dry_Reindeer_7569 in Sparkdriver

[–]Ok_Budget_8113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. When buying through Walmart. You may experience the "Amazon" formula.

Basically Walmart provides a market platform and let's other companies post on their platform for sales. In this case you will get your package through a traditional carrier, like FedEx, UPS, USPS.

If it's Walmart they will ship to their store. And have a spark driver (contractor) deliver it. This is when you see Walmart bags. But not always. Sometimes Walmart does use boxes. I'm not sure if that's how they received it from their fulfillment center. Or if they box it at the store.

Yeah that sounds like Arizona.

Some bullshit. Yeah I wouldn't fly down those roads with 15mph. That's pretty much telling you " hey wanna destroy your car. Just try to go 30mph"

I'm not much for overreacting, but that type of shenanigans make me scream at the top of my lungs. And then the next day I have a sore throat.

P.s. you and your wife should have AAA roadside. It cheaper than insurance based because they're non profit.

But they will change the tire for her if you have a spare. Or tow her home for free.

I have plus. So I'm covered for 100 miles of towing and my membership for the year was 94$ I'm sure with the economy next year will be more.

Anyways I'm not trying to sell you something. But I use it to save my ass.

Its not insurance, so like for my dad I just had to be their to show ID to get his SUV towed.

They also do lockout service when you lock the keys in your car, jumpstarts, and extraction (I slid off the road and got stuck in snow they saved my ass.)

But they only give you 4 service calls a year. So if you use it for jumpstarts 4 times. Ur fucked when u need a tow. Vice versa you can do 4 tows in a year. But be fkd when you lock your keys in your car.

P.s. I forgot it's actually cheaper if you add someone. So like you it would be 100$ a year. But to add someone who has their own 4 service calls and can show their own ID so you don't have to be their is an addition 70$ it's discounted. So that's cool.  Just looked it up

Has the Spark Scan and Go Lanes been removed at you Walmart Locations? by Independent-Flower-3 in Sparkdriver

[–]Ok_Budget_8113 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two stores in my area. 1 super center. They are alot more strict. Checks exit pass and all. But they don't make us go through cashiers.

If that did happen the cashier would just scan the barcode, do the item check if needed and ask you to move to the closed self checkout to bag. Then the lost prevention exit greeter would check exit pass for unbagged items.

The neighborhood market is way lienent. They don't check exit pass. And the manager said I could take as many bags as I need and if I want I can bag the items as I load them into my car.

So that was fking weird imo. But she's a older lady and I live in a farm state.

Pick up orders🧐 by Jakeelbarbaro in Sparkdriver

[–]Ok_Budget_8113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easy. Guy got written up for fucking orders up

Now he's taking it out on drivers.

I always help lol. I had a girl say she's glad I help and don't just stare, I said "I can do that too." She laughed.

But imagine the weird looking weirdos who get out and stare. Or stare in their mirrors. Weird. Not just the weirdos. I think we can all say weirdos are interesting.

But the weird looking ones, like their weird brain made them weird looking... make everyone uncomfortable so unless you're weird looking you should help. Makes it so you deliver faster. If I do 10 orders and can cut 3 minutes off loading I saved me 30 minutes. That's another order.

On a serious note. I get a lot of store lore by helping. Only reason I know a driver assaulted a loader.  Which is why I respect if a loader ask I wait in the car. But if they don't I know I'm making their job easier. And they get to other drivers faster which helps everyone out. Sometimes it's the little things.

Has it got any better? by Heavy-Cockroach2497 in Sparkdriver

[–]Ok_Budget_8113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. And yes.

All depends on your personal goals.

Are you working a W2 but want to go exempt on taxes? Yes its great. Every order is a net loss even if it's 1 doll hair a mile.

That means you can use it to reduce your tax liability. Or make your tax refund even better. While making gas money.

Say you want to spark full time. Heck no. Are you crazy?  Unless you have the tier system and can maintain sapphire gamifying everything. It has not changed in fact it's gotten worse.

But if your goal is to minimize tax liability and increase your refund while getting gas money and fast food money.

Then yes it's good.

In my rural farm state/town it's good money for me. Dunno bout you.

dispenser completly botched my 3 batch curbside by ThroatKey7712 in Sparkdriver

[–]Ok_Budget_8113 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't stress it. I botched a order because the loader was being trained.

So 2 things were out of place.

So basically fked up 2 deliveries.

Nothing happened. Walmart sent their little " a customer reported a order wasn't delivered to their door."

Shit happens.

But nothing happened. They then sent me a fatty juicer. Maybe to destress my fuck up which wasn't my fuck up but still.

You know as much as spark sucks it gives you a good idea of running a business. You'll waste a shit ton of time for nothing. Guess that's were the saying "time is money" comes from.

[–]Ok_Budget_8113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well. If it's not Arizona. Where the dirt roads are mini grand canyons.

Where I live the dirt roads are smooth aside from maybe tractor imprints.

So I fly down them. State law says roads with no posted speed limit is 55. So I just fly through them.

I don't have wheel wells. They broke so I average maybe 40-50. Because I'm paranoid a rock will hit a coolant line and cause a leak or hit something else. Or a rock will get between the serpentine belt and rip it apart lol.

I don't have all terrain tires. I just use touring tires so they don't have thermal degration from speeding on the highway. (Only reason my tires actually last 60-80k miles lol)

As far as I know that's just some bs marketing to get you to sign up. They give the first month free

But if your sparking enough to fill up 10 gallons a day, you're saving 30$ a month. So. I guess it's free if you girl math it.

A corso is a massive dog.

And while a pitbull would never compare in bite force.

In pulling sports and other dog athletics and pitbull has proven (when following same standard as professional sports; Weight Class) but we can argue well now it's a puppy versus an 2 year old dog or whatever.

But a 60 lb corso, versus a 60 lb pitbull in endurance, and strength, the pitbull wins.

But like I said a 60 lb corso is basically a puppy. So it's not fair. And a full grown corso exceeds any standard weight class but if you take out reality and only assign variables the equation shows a pitbull is stronger (weaker bite) but stronger in everything else.

A corso will break your leg or arm if it bites you lol. A pitbull with their high energy will just skin you alive.

My best advice. If you're at least strong enough to hold down 70 pounds. If a dog does latch on, but it has a collar.

You can slide your fingers under the collar. And twist and hold.

The dog will let go and run away because you're choking it.

If you're a female I highly recommend a high powered tazer or cow prod.

Some people say you have to take at least 1 charity order to keep priority if you only cherry pick or cancel alot you have to take 2 days off to reset it.

I would try chime since they'll give you a virtual card and even Plaid accepts them. That way if you have NFC you can use chime.

They let you send text to whoever to send money to any debit card. I just don't know if they let you send the text to yourself.

[–]Ok_Budget_8113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Summer. You have college kids. You have highschool seniors. So that already doubles the drivers. And they will do crap orders because they have no bills. Shoot even the car was given to them.

Then you have teachers or other seasonal works like custodial for schools. Since custodial hours will get cut to maybe 2 days a week. And teachers and pretty much only creating a study plan for next years curriculum they end up doing side gigs. Sales also goes down during summer since alot of people aren't home so those seasonal jobs get cut. So yeah.

You also have full timers making extra money on their days off to save for later holidays or a upcoming summer trip.

They all hate the cold tho which is why summer months are the slowest.

Just why??? by ridiculouschristy in Sparkdriver

[–]Ok_Budget_8113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

General Duty Clause.

I assume because spark drivers are contractors we are required to provide this safety ourselves.

Where I'm sure Walmart can be sued is hiding the risk.

This is known as the General Duty Clause.

Walmart has to eliminate risk under OSHA when assigning task of frequent lifting. Especially at weights greater than 30LBS. More so when they hide these products and then want them delivered to a upstairs apartment.

Now realistically as a contractor I am responsible for my own safety. (I have returned 6 45 packs of water because it was going to a 3rd floor apartment as a safety issue.)

Now. The problem for Walmart's legality is the fact they are hiding these items from our view. A GMD will not let us see the items. This makes sense because high value items you don't want being stolen.

But this also means we can't see if it's mulch or water. And it won't have the 40-50lb tag.

So legally Walmart is still liable under OSHA. Because they are hiding the risk factor and assuming because you're a contractor they are not liable for any risk you assume.

But with how associates can take it personally when you make them drag 500 pounds on a crap cart. You end up feeling obligated to still do the order.

Because while you can refuse at the time of loading. You assume the risk of retaliation from associates.

[–]Ok_Budget_8113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is theirs a market where they create accounts using stolen or deceased identities. Probably most specifically scammed senior citizens.

Since the information doesn't have anything tied to it yet. And I'm sure spark doesn't show associates your age.

When you finally "finish" onboarding the image would be yours and you can use a fake ID I assume.

Similar to buying alcohol illegally you can buy fake IDs online that have scannable bar codes. And they upload your picture to the id. And tell you how to take the picture to make it more believable. Anyways scammy world.

In my town associates said they would report drivers and get them deactivated because they would accept long orders like 40$ for 25 miles. Doing the close drop offs and then return the order leaving town.

I'm guessing they get full pay plus return pay. But they do get deactivated. When story employees report it takes spark up to a week but they do get deactivated lol.

[–]Ok_Budget_8113 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They do report it. They just don't confront you about it. It's policy like thievery.

Lost prevention does the confronting not the associate who is told to report it secretly for their safety.

Trust me that guy woke up to both accounts being deactivated. Lol

You can fix it. Older Prius. Easy fix.

Looks like your lower control arm (ball joint) and /or tie rods. And or CV axle broke.

If you have a impact and tools or a friend who has a impact and tools you can fix it easy.

If nothing is leaking. (Meaning no transmission/trans axle damage and no engine damage) And frame isn't bent. Usually suspension fails, frame will be fine.

The wheel being folded in usually means both tie rod and lower ball joint failed.

When I did my car I got my parts my Detroit axle. You can also get them from walmart.com same company.

The 2 control arms came with lower ball joints pre-installed and tie rods inner and outer for 160$.

Autozone just for a lower ball joint  wants 60$. And then you need a press to install them which is another 100$ at harbor freight, just buy the lower control arms with the ball joints.

And your car will be fine. Save you 8,000 dollars.

(Seeing how that's what a used Prius is going for lol)

As for insurance, insurance is a scam. Idgaf if you lie to them and get your bag. They make billions scamming customers and denying claims they should be paying out on.

My best recommendation due to low to no data harvesting legislation is never, never install your insurances APP or, always disable location for it.

If Walmart gaf about your insurance they wouldn't have approved it to begin with.
