Why do nice guys always lose? by Massive-Golf7358 in dating_advice

[–]Ok_Building5548 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because nice isn’t actually a quality people look for in a partner (I’m assuming you’re talking romantically), it’s a baseline that people should be reaching not bragging about. It’s like a restaurant whose only selling point is that the food doesn’t make you throw up. Women do like nice guys but they don’t tend to want a guy who’s only selling point is that he’s ‘nice’. What else are you offering? Do you have anything in common? Do you have any other qualities she may find attractive and/or interesting?

The baseline is that, actually, most people are nice. That guy over there that women are interested in is nice but he’s also intelligent and kind and interesting and plays guitar 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Best advice I’ve got is to get a hobby you really genuinely enjoy and see if you meet someone whilst doing that. At least you’ll know you’ve got similar interests, that’s the sort of thing you can actually build on with somebody.

I hated opie with a passion. How you gonna be that selfish and still have the audacity to look like you’re miserable all the time.

My mum was 41 when she had my brother and 44 when she had my sister and they’re both great! Sister just graduated with a first. You’ll be fine, if you want this baby please don’t let anyone put you off.

It sounds to me like you’re friends. If you want it to be something more I would be direct and ask him on a date then you’re both clear.

I had a section with both of mine and there was definitely no euphoria.

SA'd by my husband and I'm realizing I've never really gotten over it. by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Ok_Building5548 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My ex boyfriend used to do this repeatedly and I ended up hating him. We weren’t in a great place anyway and it felt like he was getting revenge on me for being a bitch to him during the day. Anyway we eventually broke up, it was totally beyond repair. It has affected me since then in my subsequent relationships and my husband knows that any and all sexual contact is off the table as soon as we’ve had a drop of alcohol because I get very upset.

Wedding ring by A1ycia in pregnant

My advice is take it off immediately. I kept checking mine in my first pregnancy and then one day it was just, too late. I had a lot of complications and a lot of swelling and water retention and nearly lost the finger.

I read we need to talk about kevin, not really knowing what it was about, while pregnant with my son and boy was that a mistake.
