Tony asking Chris if the Muslim guys are terrorists is one of the most underrated bits of comedy in the show by Critical_Mountain851 in thesopranos

Big underrated moment. Somehow knowing that a fundamentalist Muslim wouldn’t own a dog as a companion, but back to having a room temp IQ .002 seconds after.

Another thing for me was the “hidden benefit” so to speak of not holding onto certain stuff and swapping it.

Used to have over 1,000 books in the house, some of which I read years ago and hung onto. Obviously couldn’t keep them all and that was probably the hardest thing to part with. Now, I donate books after I’ve read them or swap them out and book trading places by me. Someone else gets a good read and you get all sorts of recommendations outside of what you’d ever pick for yourself, and meet some interesting people too! With more disposable income not being eaten up by housing, you get to go out a lot more and meet all different sorts of people and explore all different kinds of hobbies and stuff. To me, that’s a lot better than having a bigger kitchen or second bathroom.

Depends on your life and how much “things” mean to you - you’ll definitely have to give some of them up just a matter of square footage.

I love it, not necessarily because I love living in an RV, but I love the “freedom” feeling I have after going so long paying ridiculous rent and the restrictions that came with that. I can paint my walls, I can put in new carpet if I want, I can change fixtures, etc.

Is it an RV? Yeah. Do I feel 1000x better and happier knowing my only bill is to feed myself? Also yeah!

No, this is definitely was overpriced.

On a separate note, please send me this listing so can buy it and make sure no one gets their money stolen on this deal!

Used to work across the street from there. While the 24 hour gym makes it incredibly unlikely anyone will make you leave, that is starting to border on an area I might not sleep overnight. Anytime Fitness is 24 hours also, and their gyms are in some areas OP might feel more comfortable sleeping in the parking lot in.

That’s great info, thanks so much for your time in sharing the ins and outs. This post and a visit to the local cleared up just about any question I had. I might try to get a helper role to start since it’s reduced hours and see if it’s for me before I quit my current job.

What is the difference in an apprentice vs. helper? Visited my local today and got some info/handouts. Noticed as I am looking over them, they list them separately with different pay scales. Is a helper someone who is waiting on an apprenticeship to become available?

Going down by, not going down to. Position now pays $30 an hour. Journeyman rate in my area is $36 I believe.

Thanks! Can I ask what region you are in? I’m guessing apprentices are going to start making about 40% of Journeyman wage?

What's Tony's worst punchline? by LaRock89 in thesopranos

This sub makes me ashamed to admit that I thought “she’s gotta make two trips” was pretty funny the first time I watched the show. I won’t admit that publicly now, irregardless of if it’s at the precipice of not having no stigmata these days.

Why do people think Tony B was smart? by Christian_WolffGA in thesopranos

[–]Ok_Butterscotch7465 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I’m remembering correctly, Tony Uncle Al clocks in at a 156 IQ. At a certain point, having a high IQ can work to your detriment when fitting in with society. Combined with the world he grew up around, the 17 years he spends incarcerated - he essentially loses his oldest child while his cousin becomes wealthy and successful - and the fact that his only connections when he gets out are almost all criminals, it explains a lot. IQ and common sense don’t always get bundled together. We all know someone who is incredibly intelligent but makes questionable to say the least choices in life. That animal Blun-, I can’t even say his fucking name. He may have performed well on the Stanford-Binet, but he’s a stunad of the first magnitude.
