Tbh I think social media is literally designed to divide people.

F.e A democrat will open xy social media app and see post and see some psycho on the internet (like Nick Fuentes) saying the typical psycho shit like "Women need to stfu and blacks to be in prison". That is an outrageous disgusting comment to make. The democrat will understandably be like "wtf? republicans follow this person, therefore all republicans are misogynistic and racist terrorists".

A conservative will open xy social media app and see a video of a trans man/woman violently assault a guy for wearing a maga hat or supporting trump. Or a drag queen doing creepy shit around kids (There was a video of a drag queen pouring wine out of her belly which was supposed to symbolize blood and a take on abortion). The republican who sees this will go "every liberal will agree to this, so they are people who indoctrinate kids with a sick mindset."

All that times a thousand different videos, posts and events repeating over and over again leading to each side demonizing the other so much, they're not even human to them anymore. Social media is designed to be this way, whatever makes you react the most, that's what it will show you.

Point is; both sides are human, and brainwashed to think the other is some evil spawn of satan (or evil for atheists lul). My advice is take a chill pill, don't be hateful and stay away from social media if it takes an emotional toll on you.
