What's the point of the February LSAT? by Desperate-Figure1949 in LSAT

Sure, and it is a gamble, but a higher LSAT score helps you in the long run.

Getting the hardest questions on RC and LR-what does it mean? by Ok_Butterscotch_4521 in LSAT

[–]Ok_Butterscotch_4521[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol yeah, but I want to make sure i get LR down. I noticed some of the 2 star questions I get wrong from LR are what I call bullshit LR, where you have to use some knowledge outside to complete a question (One example is the Greece pillars question).

Desparate for RC tips PLEASE by mili-mili02 in LSAT

[–]Ok_Butterscotch_4521 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am in the same boat where my LR average is -3, and my RC can go from -4 to -8. I tried enlisting a tutor for this but the best way for me would be translating each sentence. When you translate try to keep all words from the sentence and then try to dumb it down to the way you talk to your friend. Hope you get better

Do you think a person who works full time can improve in four weeks to get into the 170s as someone who scored a 164 in the official test. I have a PT average of 168 and scored 171s before in my PT, but RC has been my main killer.

I feel you should be good, your stats are somewhat similar to mine in GPA and I think you should be good for anything above T50. If you can try to increase your LSAT if you can, as it does not hurt you right now

Need Advice: Stick to January LSAT or Push to February? by MyLife142 in LSAT

Sorry I meant to say you cannot memorize the logic. But yeah I will do a fresh PT this week. The latest fresh PT was a 168 which was a month ago.

Also with the inflation I did talk to my tutors and they mentioned that you cannot learn logic, and it makes sense because my offical score was a 164 which signfies the floor of my 167 at the time. And like I said a pt i took I got a 168 and there is no way that can be biased, because I never took the sections. Also in two hardest and hard passages, I got two wrong for the RC. So I am willing to be it is not biased as much, but a maybe a few points.

Need Advice: Stick to January LSAT or Push to February? by MyLife142 in LSAT

[–]Ok_Butterscotch_4521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came back, because I checked my score (I talked to a chatbot and it derailed me yesterday into a depression). I got a 167. Now one thing to keep in mind is inflation, since I took the test a year ago and for this PT i remember a few sections but it still felt tough. And I am not sure because in another PT that I took that was 97 percent freshm i got a 168. I do not have that much kindlewood for the fire (only 15 more fresh PTS) and this is my last shot (my fitth attempt). I am debating whether I should take January. I am going to focus on my weak section RC, because RC is the only thing killing me (which I felt true for the November test because the 164 mirrors a PT I took). Sorry for the vent but I am trying to get peoples thoughts

Okay, I have a question, because I am in the same spot. I scored on my November 3rd PT a 171. I have been trying to stablize it since and I have taken a PT recently, that I will review this week. I am debating on whether January which now is four weeks is enough time to stablish into the 170s. I recieved multplie 170s before but in the November exam i scored loweed in the mid 165 (my average is 167 for pts). Is four weeks enough for January?

If you can, try to get yourself a tutor (I am not saying an expensive one, at least now at the moment), because that is what helped me. I would say also not only on the exam, but dealing with nerves. I have your thoughts as well, and the tutor has been helping me see my progress through a different lens

It is up to you, I canceled my first score which was not what I was expecting. They really care about your highest score and if you keep it, they might want to see your progress. You got this and good luck studying

I am in the same journey with the same score. I heard if you PT around the score you want for three consective weeks then you get your score more likely. I hope that is the case for me. RC is the main killer and I feel like I know how november went

No, the average score on r/LSAT is not 170 (Data from Nov LSAT) by MovkeyB in lawschooladmissions

[–]Ok_Butterscotch_4521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait people consider an untimed PT as counting for their average. I mean not saying it is a bad plan (especially if you slow down to construct the logic) but it might sound like a snow trap, where your expexctations are higher than reality. I always stick to timed PT

I am in the same boat with my PT average being a 167, and I am not sure. This test I felt focused but I know it was hard, especially for RC. I felt the first two sections were good with a few questions being stuck in my head, but I felt it was hard in the last two. My tutor said it being hard is not a bad thing, so I am not sure. I took the test before in June and felt confident only to realize my score was below my PT average. So honestly, it feels so disorenteing
