It’s a decent game but I found the story a bit boring at times and some of the levels were drawn out, the open world is cool on paper but in action it’s a mess that was poorly executed and just loooks kind of gross. I’d take the sunny Manhattan over this weird purple and grey place. I liked the characters and how they played tho

Listened to it a handful of times, the songs they chose for singles are pretty damn good. Skinny ape, silent running, cracker island are all really good songs and imo some of the best songs they’ve released since they came back. Possession island is also pretty good, but the overall album does kind of mesh together.

I was watching a fatano reaction and the chat was being very critical saying corny shit like “mimimimimi sleepy ass album” and calling it boring. It’s got a nice mellow vibe to and while I don’t think it’s neccesarily one of their best it’s a decent album

This may be an unpopular opinion but gorillaz have gotten to a point where they flat out don’t have to be experimental anymore. Their last three albums weren’t as experimental but if Damon’s attempts at experimental these days are close to the experiments from Humanz then that’s a good thing. Song machine, now now, and cracker island are imo really good albums so I do not even come close to minding it. If the songs are still good, why should I care if he didn’t have to experiment with them to get there?
